Die Cuttin DIvas - February Sketch

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to a brand new challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas!  Today's challenge is a SKETCH challenge.  I can't wait to show you what I created.

Super cute, isn't it?  I do SO love Hello Kitty...  I cut her out with my Cricut, and she is from Hello Kitty Greetings.  The mat that she is on, was cut out with some dies that I picked up from a crafty yard sale - so I'm not sure what company made them, but they are super cute :)

Be sure to pop over to the Die Cuttin Divas blog, to see what my fellow Divas created, and please play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you created!

If Friends Were Flowers

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I am back with another springy card, in the hopes that winter might loosen her grip one of these days!!  Making springy projects is at least giving me hope...  I decided to use Blooming For You again, from Craftin Desert Divas.  It is perfect for all of those spring projects.  Here it is:

Now, anyone who visits my blog regularly will know that I love me some Hello Kitty!!  As soon as I saw this sentiment, I thought of this cut from my Hello Kitty Greetings cricut cartridge.  I think she is perfect for this card.  The cardstock is from Recollections, the patterned paper from an old stack.  I embossed the pink paper with a Sizzix Embossing folder.  The ribbon is from Michaels and the enamel dots are from Michaels and SU.

The sentiment, which I just LOVE, is from Craftin Desert Divas "Blooming for You" set.  I love each sentiment in the set.  It is definitely giving me hope that spring may come again.

I'll be back tomorrow with my "Throwback Thursday" Craftin Desert Divas post.  I love the set I used, so be sure to come back and check it out!

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone, it's my day to share a project over at Craftin Desert Divas.  I have a super cute birthday gift set to share with you today.  Of course, I used two of Tara's amazing stamp sets to create my project!   Not only is it Animal Week, but it's Throwback Thursday!
So, I created some fun projects that include and animal AND used some of Tara's older stamp sets.  I can't wait to show you!  Here it is:

Don't you love it??!!  My niece turned 4 this weekend, and like a smart girl, she is obsessed with Hello Kitty, so I created her a custom birthday gift set.  The Hello Kitty's are both from my Hello Kitty Greeting Cricut Cartridge.  The cardstock is from Recollections and the patterned paper is from an old strack from Michaels.

I found the perfect sentiments on Happy Celebrations.  Below, you can see both the card, and a close up of the tag, so you check out the great fonts, and the lovely stamp I used for the tag!

I used the Happy Celebrations and Tag It stamp sets to create this project.  You can buy your own in the Craftin Desert Divas Shop HERE.

Hello Kitty Party Week - Day 6

It's Day 6! Hello Kitty Party week is almost over. Today I am showcasing on of our party games. Pin the Bow on Hello Kitty. I thought I was brilliant, coming up with this, then when I was on Pinterest, I realized that there were some other very smart ladies, who had come up with it before me :) here is the version I came up with:

I used my 12x24 mat, and cut Hello Kitty's head as large as possible. I then cut out a bow for each little girl, using the same pattern as I did for the Hello Kitty goody bags/ I wrote their names on the bow, so we would know whose was whose.

Here is one of the little girls playing it. They had so much fun!

A few challenges for my little project:
Allsorts Challenge - free and easy February
Catch the Bug - inspiration photo
Fun With Shapes and More - birthdays with die cuts

Hello Kitty Party Week - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of Hello Kitty Party week here at my blog. I hope you have been enjoying all the ideas so far. Today's idea is not an original one. I was on Pinterest a few weeks ago, hunting for Hello Kitty ideas and found THIS. I thought it was FABULOUS and knew that I could recreate it, so I did. Here is my Hello Kitty bouquet:

Isn't it awesome??!! Gabrielle and her girlfriends loved it, and so did I! All the cuts are from Hello Kitty Greetings. I cut them all nice and big. Anywhere from 3.5 - 5.5 inches. I mounted them all on wooden skewers, and stuck them all into some of that green foam you can find in the fake flower section at Walmart. I tucked the whole thing into a box that I made using my Martha Stewart Score board. I chose all of Gabrielle's favorite colors. I was so thrilled with how it came out!

A few challenges:

Hello Kitty Party Week - Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of my Hello Kitty Party Week! Today I have 2 projects to share with you. A cute little note pad that I made as a party favor, and the card I made for Gabrielle for her birthday. Here they are, first the note pad:

Isn't it cute? I used old Cheerio boxes for the card stock, covered them with some paper, and cut Hello kitty's head out of Hello Kitty Greetings. "Your the cat's meow" is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. The bling is something I picked up at Michael's. I used my Bind it All - which I ADORE - to make the note pads, and voila! A super cute party favor :)

On to the card:

Gabrielle's favorite colors are purple and pink, so they seemed the perfect colors to use on her card. I cut yet another Hello Kitty from HKG. I embossed the pink paper with my Spots and Dots embossing folder, and used a cute stamp I bought about a year ago from my LSS - I will have to go to my scrap room to figure out who made it... The ribbon is from Michael's. My girly loved it!

Hello Kitty Party Week - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of my Hello Kitty Party Week!! Today I have one of the party favors for you. I decided to make most of the favors. Many of the girl's have unusual names, and I thought they might like something personalized. I made them each a door hanger. i think they are so cute:

So I designed these on my Gypsy girl. The rectangle is from George and Basic Shapes. I then took a circle, and welded them together. Then I made another rectangle to shadow it, and welded the same circle in the same spot. I cut hello Kitty's face out of Heloo Kitty greetings, and cut each girl's name out of Don Juan - I haven't used this cartridge in so long, that I can't remember the last project I used it for! Once they were done, I decided they looked a bit naked, so I pulled out something I have NEVER used before - twine. I am in LOVE with how this finished up my project! I am going to have to use it again.

I made 11 of these. One for each of the girls at Gabrielle's party, and one for my work friend's niece. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of them all!! In the chaos of the party prep, I just didn't. Silly me! Oh well, at least I took a picture of one of them :)

Be sure to come back tomorrow - I will have TWO projects to share for Day 3.

A few challenges:
Whimsical Wednesdays - use something old (Don Juan cartridge)
Paper Pretties - ribbon/twine
Divas By Design - anything goes

Fabulous Fridays - ribbon or twine

Hello Kitty Party Week - Day 1

Welcome to Hello kitty Party Week - Day 1! As you know, my baby girl turned 6 last Thursday. On Saturday she had her very first "friend party". She decided on a Hello Kitty theme. My Cricut has been working overtime the past week or so, so I could get everything done. I made her invitations first, you can see that post HERE. The first project I am going to show you this week, is the banner I made for my girl. I apologize in advance for the photo quality, this wasn't the easiest thing to photograph :)

Here is a photo of the entire banner, a bit tricky to see... so I did closeups :)

I cut the banners from Birthday Bash. I have never used the banner feature before. It is awesome! I have never had a banner come together so easily. i will be using this again, and soon!

I decided to use the font from Once Upon a Princess. I have always thought this font was really pretty, but because it only has uppercase letters, I haven't used it often. this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I also found some awesome pink glitter paper - pricy? yes. worth it? YES!

Here is the first of the Hello Kitty images on her banner. This one is so cute! I used her on a lot of the party favors.

Here is the second Hello Kitty I used. The heart kitty - for the little girl I love! Gabrielle loved her banner. we are going to keep it in her room - per her request, once she decides she wants to take it out of the dining room!

Here are my babies after her party. She is in her new Hello Kitty shirt, which she loves... if you look closely, you will see in the background, a sneak peek of one of the other project's I'll be showing you. please join me tomorrow for day 2!
