Follow Your Rainbow

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over on the PPPR blog.  I am so excited to show you the project I created with one of Lisa's cute files!!

Lisa released THIS cute rainbow a few weeks ago.  I just loved it!  I decided to make a shape card with it:

First I created a shadow of the rainbow, then made a rectangle and welded the two together.  I decided to cut the rainbow in pretty traditional rainbow colours.  I think it's SO cute!!

I decided to emboss the background with my cloud embossing folder.  It adds a pretty dimension.  I tied it all together with this cute sentiment from CTV Stamps "This 'n' That" stamp set.  It was perfect for the card!

Be sure to pop by the PPPR blog every day for some cute inspiration from all my fellow Design Team Divas!

Name Buttons - PDE Linky Party

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create any crafty project.  I love me some creative freedom...   Here is what I created.

A while back, I helped put together a fundraiser for a camp my children attend, and my husband I volunteer for.  The organizer, asked me to make some name buttons for other volunteers.  I found some blanks pins made by "Creatology", but had no idea how to create the rest of the button.

Then it occurred to me - Print and Cut with my Cameo!!  I had never done it before, so enter YouTube!  I found a video tutorial and voila!  Beautiful, easy name pins.

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Let it Snow

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over on the PPPR blog.  I am so excited to show you the project I created with Lisa's cute files!!

I love this cutie little snowman, and I decided to put her on a shape card.  She cut like a dream and layered perfectly, which is my favorite thing about PPPR files - well that, and they are SO cute!!!  The sentiment is from CDDs "Snowman Kisses".

This is the snowman (or snowgirl) file I used.  You can grab it HERE.  The card was made in my Silhouette Design Studio.  I used the tag from the Safari Love file, that you can find HERE.  I manipulated it a bit, and duplicated it then welded them together, and VOILA!  A shape card!

PPPR January Blog Hop

Welcome to Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons January Blog Hop!!  If you are here from Melissa's Blog  then you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog.  This month we are inspired by colour, and sharing projects we created, using this colour pallette from Design Seeds that feature PPPR files.

Here is what I created.

I always find colour challenges a bit of... well a challenge...  I don't quite know how to filter my ideas, and I always feel like I need to use every colour.  This time, I trued to do things a little differently.  I picked one color to focus on and went from there.  I picked the peachy/salmony colour.  After that, I chose the file I wanted to use - the adorable smiling rose, and things flowed pretty smoothly from there!

The card base is a PPPR file - A2 Card Base 3.  I have used it a bit lately, and plan to use it more - I am loving it!  You can pick up your own HERE

The cutie flower is one I LOVE!!  He looks SO cheerful.  He is from the "Flower Faces" cutting file.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas "Blooming for You" stamp set.  Isn't it perfect for this card??

The blog candy for this hop is a $15 GC to the PPPR store.  For a chance to win, you must be a follower of each blog and leave a comment on each blog.
