Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to a brand new challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas! Today's challenge is 3-2-1. I can't wait to show you what I created.
So, this challenge is 2 use 3 patterned papers, 2 embellishments and 1 ribbon.
The patterned paper is all from PhotoPlay's Vintage Girl paper pack. The girl is cut from the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge. The sentiment is from an old CTMH set called "Be Yourself".
Be sure to pop over to the Die Cuttin Divas blog, to see what my fellow Divas created, and please play along with us! I can't wait to see what you created!

Father's Day Take 2
Happy Thursday everyone! So, I did make it into my scraproom for an hour or 2 last night, after the kids went to bed, but it was way to dark to take a picture, I decided to take a pic this morning, and just post late. There seem to be a ton of Father's Day or Men challenges out there in blog land, so I decided to make another card. This one is for the kids to give my dad. Here is what I came up with:
Isn't it cute?? The shirt and tie are from Simply Charmed - the shirt doesn't really have a pocket, but one of my acrylic stamps, fell off the block and put a nasty ink smudge right below Grandpa - what's a girl to do?? I decided a pocket was the perfect solution :) The Grandpa stamp is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "fro the Boys" set. Happy Father's Day is a CTMH stamp. The twine is from Doodle Bug, and the button from my stash. I used all Recollections paper. I love how it turned out. I think my dad will really like it!
A challenge or tow for my cute card:
Die Cuttin Divas - father's day
Crafting For All Seasons - for a man
Fab'n'Funky - father's day
More Than Favors - father's day
Papercraft Star - father's day
Celebrate the Occasion - father's day
Crafty Sentiments - father's day
Flourishes - father's day
Scrappy Moms - father's day
Make My Monday - father's day
My Sheri Crafts - father's day
Ink it Pink - father's day
Creative Cutter Room - father's day
I'll be back tomorrow with my Pause Dream Enjoy DT project. Hope to see you then :)

Run Fast
Happy Monday! I had a great weekend! I ran a 5k this past Saturday :) Yay me! I will tell you all about it in a minute, but first, I want to share a card I made that I am sending to a friend who also did the race. Here it is:
Isn't it cute? The stamp set is from Close to my Heart - in fact, everything is from CTMH except the ribbon. The layout is simple, but showcases the stamp, which I really like. I hope my friend likes it :)
So the race I was in, was called Sole Sisters. It was a women only 5km run with no clock. You could run, or walk it, and everyone who finished got a medal! The morning was POURING, but by the time we got to the pre-race stuff, the sky was blue! There were 1500 women participating.
Here are me and my neighbor Michelle at the end of the run with our sparkly, blingy medals. We had a great time, despite the weather. I have already signed up for next year!

As we walked to the start line, it started to pour again, and just before the start, there was thunder and lightning! The race was VERY wet - I was soaked and freezing by the end. I was pretty grateful for the dinner and hot bath that were waiting for me when I got home.

Happy Friday everyone! Today is challenge day over at 52 Weeks of Tags. This week Janis challenged us to create a project with a house on it - any kind of house. I chose a dog house - here is what I came up with:
A challenge or two for my little tag:

365 Cards - white, black and 2 other colors (white, black, light pink and dark pink)

Isn't it ca-ute?? The tag base is from Plantin Schoolbook, and the puppy and her dog house are from Create a Critter (my favorite!!) Her adorable little face is from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces. The sentiment is from Close to my Heart - it was an old stamp of the month.. I doodles with my Sakura jelly roll pens, and the paper is all Recollections
This month there is a prize!! One of our wonderful DT members, Darlene from Simple Southern Blessings is giving away this to one lucky US resident who played along with us in April...
Echo Park's SWEET SUMMERTIME paper pack - it is GORGEOUS!! I wish I could win it :) So, be sure to link up below, or over at Pause Dream Enjoy, where you can see what our talented team came up with :)

Happy Hearts Day!!
Hello everyone! With my daughter home again today, I only had a little bit of time to spend in my craft room. Since she was home, I decided to make her Valentine's Day card. She is on a Hello Kitty kick right now, in fact, tomorrow's project is to make 10 Hello Kitty invitations for her Birthday party. After that, I get to make a bunch of party favors, all Hello Kitty related. It's going to be all Hello Kitty, all the time for the next week or so at our house :) Here is what I came up with:
So, I cut Hello Kitty at 4.25 inches from Hello Kitty Greetings. I blinged up her little ribbon with stickles, it looks so fancy. I ran the cream background paper through my Dotted Swiss Embossing folder. The dotted paper is in my scrap box. The pink ribbon is from Michael's, as is the red paper and the pink card base. The "love you" is actually 2 stamops that I used together from CTMH.
I think my daughter is going to really like this card! It has some of her favorite things - hello kitty, hearts, bling, ribbon and best of all, pink!! Now I have to get going on the rest of my Valentine's Day cards. Between the Hello Kitty party, and Valentine's Day my Gypsy and Expression are going to be buzzing!
A few challenges:
Whimsical Wednesdays - anything goes
More Than Favors - get animated
Scrappy Moms Stamps - cartoon characters
Wags'n'Whiskers - valentines/love
Corrosive Challenge - I love you
Robyn's Fetish - love and hearts
Stampin Sisters in Christ - make a heart stand out on your project
Drunken Stamper - love
JUGS - red, white and pink
Cupcake Craft - all you need is love
Simply Create Too - love is in the air
Lily Pad - inspiration picture
Aud Sentiments - use the word LOVE
Craft Us Crazy - Valentine/love and(or) animals
Crafty Creations - valentines
Anything Goes Challenge - for the one I love
Oldie But a Goodie - use something older (HKG was one of my first cartridges and include a heart
Hope you all have a wonderful day! I will be back in a a day or two with another project! Thanks for hanging out with me today.

Snow Much Fun!
Happy snowy Monday everyone! Today in Halifax it is chilly and icy, but tomorrow it's supposed to POUR! Gotta love winter in Eastern Canada... I wasn't planning to post today, but I am home with a munchikin with the stomach flu, and had a few crafting moments, so here is an extra post. I had some left over snowmen that I stamped with my PKS. I decided to use it to make a cute wintry card. Here it is:
So here are the details - I cut the snowman from Doodlecharms, I used the Hide Contour button on my to eliminate the snowman's face. Then I was able to stamp his face with my Happy Lashes stamps from Peachy Keen. Isn't he adorable all doodled up like that?? I tore some paper to make the snowy hills, and inked them up with my SU inks, and adhered them to a piece of blue reflections cardstock that I embossed with my Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder. I created the little label the sentiment is on on my Gypsy. It is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I manipulated the size, so it would fit my sentiment, and then i welded two small rectangle to the end so the ribbon would slip right through. I then inked the edges with pink and stamped it with a sentiment from CTMH. The snowflakes were punched from an old punch I got years ago, and I inked the edges with some pink and blue SU inks. I used my Sakura Jelly Roll pens to do some doodling.
I hope you all like the little card I created today. Thanks for hanging out with me! See you back her in a day or two.
A few challenges for my cute snowy card:
My Craft Spot - snow much fun
Fantabulous Cricut - label it
2 Sisters - embossing
The Ribbon Girls - use blue, pink and a ribbon
Stamptacular Sunday - seeing spots
Gingerloft Challenge - let it snow
Getting Cricky With It - let it snow/use embossing
Delicious Doodles - winter wonderland
Fussy and Fancy - let it snow
Raise the Bar - circles
DRS Designs - snowman
Sassy Studio Designs - frosty winter colors
Crafting For All Seasons - snowman/snow flakes
Sisterhood of Crafters - let it snow
Stampavie and More - winter
Cupcake Inspirations - pink and blue snowflakes

Summer fun!!
Man, this summer is being brutal for my blogging. I am either at work, or at the camp, and that's about it :) So much for being a good design team member... I am getiing my projects done, but not posting them to my blog. I am so far behind.
Today is digi challenge day over at Paper Playtime. Each of the DT members has been given some wonderful digi stamps to make a summer themed project with. I bought a Bind it All last week, and decided to break it open and make a note pad, and I am thrilled with how cute it is :) I chose this ADORABLE Gillian stamp from Praire Fairy Designs. Here is my project:

Don't you just loved it?? I think Gillian looks so suumery and cute!! I colored her in with my Prismacolor Pencils and used a CTMH alphabet set to stamp the word "NOTES". It is a 6x4 note pad, and fits perfectly in my purse!!
Everyone should come and play at Paper Playtime, there are tons of digi stamps to be won!! Hope you are all having a great summer!!

Cupcake card
Good morning everyone. It is challenge day over at Cooking with Cricut. The challenge today is to use embossing on your projects. Her os what I came up with:

I decided to make an easel card. They are one of my favorites and I haven't made one in ages. The cupcake is cut from Create a Critter, I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing folder. The stamp set is from CTMH and I used my Fiskars Threading Water punch to make the layered border edge - I got the idea from Momo. It's a technique she uses some times. Cute, isn't it?
Head on over to Cooking with Cricut, see what the rest of the DT came up with, and come play along with us!

Not so sure...
You know how sometimes you have a picture of a card in your head, and it is simple, but cute and you are excited to make it? And then when you do make it, you think hmm - this is NOT how it looked in my head :( This is one of those:

The image is from Stretch Your Imagination, using the blackout and silhouette features. I cut the scalloped square from Storybook. The sentiment is a Close to My Heart stamp. I used Mostlt StampinUp paper, but the patterned paper was from my scrap box. The heart punch is from creative memories.
The card is based on a sketch challenge that I am too late to submit it for, but you can still go take a peek at the sketch - CPS Card Sketch - 181
The challenges I am submitting this for -
Pear Tree Design - wedding theme
Paper Playtime - anniversary
That's it for today, hope you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend!

School Time!
Two posts in one day - look at me!! Today at Cricut Cardz Challenge the theme was Back to School. I was inspired to make this cute little card on my Gypsy, while watching Harry Potter with my 8 year old. I love how I was able to multi-task - still spending time with him, and crafting too. I even managed to find some time to get it cut out :) The design team (of which I am now a part - see my earlier post today) has some great inspiration for you!

I used Locker Talk, cutting the bus at 5 inches, flipping it and welding it at the top. Fun and easy! The people are from Every Day Paper Dolls and the faces, from Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart set. I used mostly Stampin Up paper, though some was from my scraps box.
Challenges I am submitting this card for:
Cricut cardz Challenge - back to school
Little red Wagon - back to school
Paper Pretties - back to school
ABC Design Blog - Back to School
S2G Challenge - Back to school and yellow
I'll be back again tomorrow with another creation :)

Girly card for Momo's Challenge
One of my very favorite blogs to visit is Made by Momo - to visit her, just go to her button on the right hand side of my blog. She has great video tutorials, and i always learn something. She also has a challenge every other Tuesday. I can't tell you how I am loving challenges these days! I t has gotten me crafting again, forcing me to clean up my scrap room, and is making me try new things. They are so fun!!
This week Momo challenged us to make something girly. So here is what I came up with:

The girl is cut at 5" from Forever Young, which I think is a super Girly cartridge. The paper is all from StampinUp as is the ribbon, and the edge punch I used at the bottom. The sentiment is from CTMH, and I thought appropriate for the card. The sparkly flowers are little stick on Rhinestones and are from Kaiser Scrapbook. All in all, I love how sophisticatedly girly this card is :)
I also did a Christmas card today, that I made on my Gypsy. I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but am going to in a minute, so check back in 20 minutes or so to see that card too. Thanks for looking.

More Challenges
This is a really quick post, I ma already running late to my Crop for Cancer. Getting up at seven just felt way too early today! So this card is being submitted for a couple more challenges. Emma, from My creative Time, challenged us to design a card around our favorite holiday, Mine is Christmas by far - well, other than the weather... Cricut Cardz challenged us to use the card feature on a cartridge. Here is the card:

So this simple card cut is from the Winter Wonderland cartridge - it is the card feature of snowflake #4 - I have never used the card feature from this cartridge before. I cut the card at 4 1/2, and had a tough time trying to layer it. After a few miss cuts, I found that 4 1/4 fit almost perfectly to layer on top. I then used some CTMH stamps to stap the snowflakes with versa mark, and the sentiment. The paper is all SU, and the ribbon is form the dollar store. I must admit I am not in love with this card, but it turned out OK.
So enough procrastinating! I must go scrapbook!! A la prochaine...

Throwback Thursday...
So I have had the past 4 days off work, and got a bit of crafting done, that I am finally getting around to posting. I participated in 3 challenges on the web this week. This is the 1st one. Emma, of My creative time, challenged us to use Zoobaloo, or another of the older cartridges to make an animal project. Here is what I came up with:

we always seem to need gift card holders at our house. We tend to give gift cards often for birthdays. My son is at the age where he loves to have his own money to spend places, so gift cards from Chapters, or the movies make great gifts for him! he often chooses gift cards as gifts for his friends.
The holder is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More at 8 inches. I then cut the monkey and it's silhouette from Zoobaloo at 2.5 inches. In retrospect, I might have cut the monkey a little bigger - maybe 3 inches... oh well, next time :)
The stamps are both from My Pink Stamper, and the paper is a mix of Stampin Up, CM (printed paper) and something from my LSS. The ribbon on the to is from CTMH. On the whole, I was pretty happy with how this turned out. Thanks for looking,

2 cards...
So, as you know, I made 4 sets of cards for people at Andrew's school - teacher, vice-principal etc. I showed the box I made (with help from Momo) a couple of days ago. Today I am showing 2 of the 5 cards I put in the set.

Both of the main pictures are from create a critter. The wormy was heavily inspired by a really cute card Robyn (My Pink Stamper) made a few months ago. The pink poodle card was inspired by Emma (from Creative Time with Emma). She used the same shape under to poodle for one of her cards a while back. The shape is from Once Upon a Princess, and the shape was manipulated with my Gypsy. Andrew is in French Immersion, so I figured "merci" was an appropriate sentiment :) All the card stock is stampin up and the little pearls are Close to my Heart. I think they are super cute!
Today is my 13th wedding anniversary, so DH and I are getting pizza from our favorite spot, and enjoying a quiet evening, well once we get the kids in bed at least. Right now I am watching Beauty and the Beast with my 4 year old. Romance is alive and well ;)
Tomorrow I will post two more of the cards from the set.

Emma's Throwback Challenge
So my effort to get back to my scrapbooking continues! Miss Emma, from My Creative Time (blinkie on right side of my blog) has a challenge each Thursday, which I decided to join this week. This very simple layout uses Zoobaloo. It was one of my first cartridges ever, and on I rarely use, despite the fact that I couldn't live without it :)

The paper is all from Close to my Heart. I love how their paper packs come with matching card stock. It makes my life so much easier! I like how this page turned out. And mostly how I saw it in my head. If you haven't visited Emma's site, you should. Her work is amazing and she is so helpful to new Gypsy users like me. Love her!!

Momo has a challenge on her blog every other Tuesday. I have participated before, but never posted my project here. This week her Challenge was Spots and Dots. Dotted paper is one of my favorites. i seem to use it alot when i scrapbook. So here is my scrapbook page that is spotted and dotted...

The paper is from Close to my heart, and I loved how it tied in with the pool pictures. The Cricut cartridge used is Street Sign. I love the simple font. I then used a couple of my circle punches to fill up some of the blank space. On the whole, I am reasonably pleased, it turned out sort of how I envisioned... I am disturbingly far behind with my scrapbooking - it is truly daunting! These pics were taken when I was pregnant with my daughter - she is now almost 4 1/2 years old!! I am hoping that joining in on some challenges in the blogging world, will help me get my mojo back!

2 days in a row!!
So, I am pretty proud of myself. Blogging 2 days in a row. Yay me!! Today was calm and mostly quiet. DD and I went to visit an old friend and her new baby. We even found a dress for me to wear to my inlaws 50th anniv. All in all a success... no crafting though, and I still have 15 more invites to do for the anniversary... how do I get myself into these things?? I guess I need to get cracking.
Today I am sharing some money holders I mad at Christmas time. Only one actually held mosey, the other 2 held tickets and a gift card. They were fun and very easy to make. I found a tutorial on You Tube created by a SU demo named Dawn. It was really easy to follow! The stamps are SU on all of them, and the paper is CTMH.
Back to work in the morning - ugh!!
