Pause Dream Enjoy's 10th Birthday Blog Hop!!

Today is Pause Dream Enjoy's 10th Birthday!!  It is the blog of my dear friend Janis.  She was one of the first people I "met" in the blog world, and has been such a source of support through good and bad times, not to mention a crafty inspiration.  I was so honoured to be asked to participate in today's hop!

If you are here from Lisa's Blog , then you are in the right place!  If you just happened on my post, then you should be sure to go back to the beginning, and start with the honouree herself, Miss Janis' blog.  There is also some blog candy at each stop, so be sure to check out all the projects!  Here is what I created:

Above is a quick walk through of my project.  There are a few pictures below.

I made a "Flip Up Folio" following a tutorial from Frances Long, and using the "Making Waves" paper pack from CTMH.  This is such a quick and easy project, and it uses a surprisingly small amount of patterned paper.  I just LOVE how it turned out!

Now, here is my giveaway!  It is the cute little "Mouse Set 1" from Victorine Originals.  Be sure to comment on all 10 posts, and follow everyone's blog for a chance to win!  USA address only.

The next stop on today's hop is the amazing and talented Migdalia.  I have included a list of all the talented ladies in this crop, so you can be sure to stop and be inspired by each of them!

Janis, Pause Dream Enjoy
Amy, AO Creations
Georgiana, Carson's Creations
Ginger, My Sister's Scrapper
Lee-Ann, Snappy Scraps
Lisa, A Mermaid's Crafts
Michelle, Purple Monkey Moments (YOU ARE HERE)
Migdalia, Crafting with Creative M
Jackie, Get the JC Look
Mary, Cardz TV

Thanks for stopping in, and Happy 10th Birthday Pause Dream Enjoy!

Die Cuttin Diva - Favorite Colour Combo

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to a brand new challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas!  Today's challenge is to use your FAVORITE COLOUR COMBO.  I can't wait to show you what I created.

It will come as no surprise to anyone who visits my blog on occasion, that I really love pink.  My favorite thing is to use it with neutrals, like white (or cream) and black.  Today I decided to make a little set of note cards.  I used a cut from Lyrical Letters, that I flipped, so the leaf was on the left.  I then cut the letter M - my first initial - from the Quarter Note cartridge.  I added some little embellishments, and voila!  A simple note card, in my favorite colours.
