Just Sing It!

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create an Anything Goes project. Here is what I created:

My kids went to a Choir Camp in August.  It is a camp where they come in on a Sunday, and over the course of the week learn a number of pieces of music, usually 10-14 songs.  At the end of the week, they give a concert for family.  It's the same camp my sisters and I went to when we were children.

I made this card for my daughter to receive while she was at camp.  It is in her favorite colours, and is coloured to look a bit like her.  She LOVED it.

It uses a now retired Your Next Stamp set.  I grabbed it on sale this past spring.  It was the perfect image for my girl!  I coloured her with my Prismacolor Pencils and some Gamsol.  She turned out pretty well.  I am continuing with my attempt to go outside my creative box - hence the colouring.  I think I'm getting a bit better!

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!

It's a Boy Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create an Anything But a Card project. Here is what I created.

I have been LOVING making mini albums lately.  This one is for our neighbours, who just had a baby boy.  I watched one of Ginger's fabulous videos, and sort of figured it out from there... I'm sure it's not perfect, but it was fun!

I have also made a video, which I will link up from YouTube.  You can see my whole album there.  When I made the video PDE Linky party had a slightly different format, and this was originally for a 3D linky party.  I already gave away the album, so I can't redo the video.  Sorry if that causes any confusion ;)

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to play along with us every week, our "schedule" is below.

Wish Big - Die Cuttin Divas Guest Designer

Happy Tuesday everyone!!  I am Guest Designing today for Die Cuttin Divas.  They are a fun challenge blog with some GREAT weekly challenges - all you have to do, is use a die cut and follow the theme!

This week's theme is Birthday!  I am always in need of Birthday cards.  I decided to use my Silhouette, and a cute birthday file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  Here is my creation:

Don't you love her??  I decided to do a shape card, so I used my Silhouette Designer Edition Software to create an offset and welded two shapes together.  Easy Peasy!!  The cut is from PPPR's Make a Wish Cutting File which you can find HERE.  AND she is available at the Silhouette Store!  You can find her HERE.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas "Simply Said" stamp set.  I love the variety of sentiments on this set.  For me, this one is a must have!  I stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark, and heat embossed it in white.  You can find this stamp set HERE.

I can't wait to see what amazing birthday creations that you all create!  Be sure to play along with us this week at Die Cuttin Divas.  Thanks ladies, for letting me play along this week!

Yummo! PDE Tags

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create a TAG project. Here is what I created.

Cute, isn't it??  Gabrielle and I made some Pumpkin-Apple Muffins for one of her teachers.  We decided they needed a little tag, so I pulled out my Silhouette and went to work!

The tag and Pumpkin are  both from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  You can find all of Lisa's cute files HERE.  The sentiment is from an old Whimsical Designs stamp set.  I love using it for tags for food gifts!

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to join us every week!  Our "schedule" is below.

Beautiful Life - PDE Cards Only

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create a CARD project.  Here is what I created.

I have to tell you, I LOVE this card!  I am trying to use things that I have, and maybe do some stuff outside my box.  The one thing that I'm not thrilled with, is the paper rip on the left side.  I need to find better tape to use when masking - if anyone has any suggestions....

I used some Tim Holtz distress inks to create my colour strip.  Then I stamped the silhouette and sentiment using my VersaMark black ink.

The sentiment is from KaiserCrafts Blue Bay stamp set, I just love this set.  It's perfect.  I found it in one of my LSS, but I'm not sure it's still available on the web.

The silhouette is from a SU hostess set called Million Dollar Moments.  I have had it for a year or two, and this is the first time I have used it.  I gotta start using what I have instead of buying new things!!

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Football Season

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over on the PPPR blog.  I am so excited to show you the project I created with Lisa's cute files!!

With football season upon us, I decided to make a cute little card.  We do a family football pool where the winner gets a gift card to a local book store.

This is a bit of a modified shape card.  I shadowed the Little Football file in my Silhouette Design software.  Then I welded a rectangle to it, to create the mat below.  I think it worked out really well!  You all know how much I love Lisa's files with faces, and this little football is no exception.  The teeth kill me!!

You can find the Little Football cutting file HERE.

Did you know that you can find MANY of Lisa's designs in the Silhouette Store??  You can find full sets, and individual cuts that you can't live without HERE.

Be sure to pop by the PPPR blog every day for some cute inspiration from all my fellow Design Team Divas!

PDE Linky Party - Sketch

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to use a SKETCH to create this project. Here is what I created.

I used the sketch as inspiration, but took a few liberties with it from there ;)

Isn't it cute??  Instead of using grass for the border edge, I used clouds - they are from Your Next Stamp the Puffy Cloud Die.  Instead of the scalloped circle, I used a cloud - Craftin Desert Divas "The Sky is the Limit" stamp and Die set. I even embossed some clouds on my background paper.  LOVE IT!!

I chose a cute little unicorn as my focal image.  It is from Avery Elle's "Be a Unicorn" stamps and dies.  I colored her in with my Prismacolor Pencils and used some Gamsol to blend them.

The cute "Smile" sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms "Lunch Box Notes 2" stamp set.  You can find it HERE.

I hope you all play along with us!  I love this fun sketch, even though I didn't follow it exactly... I can't wait to see what you create!
