Die Cuttin Divas - April Sketch

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to a brand new challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas!  Today's challenge is a SKETCH CHALLENGE.  I can't wait to show you what I created.

Who doesn't LOVE a sketch challenge?  This one is a fun one!  The central image is from "Twinkle Toes", which is a Cricut Cartridge I forget I own - It has SUCH cute images on it!  I think this little girl is ADORABLE!

The sentiment is from a long retired Whimsical Designs stamp set.  There are some VERY cute sentiments in this set, I need to pull it out more often!

Be sure to pop over to the Die Cuttin Divas blog, to see what my fellow Divas created, and please play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you created!

12 Tags of Christmas - Day 3

I can't tell you how excited I am!!  Christmas is almost here!  I am cutting it close this year, but am back with my 12 tags of Christmas series.  As anyone who visits my blog regularly will know that I make a TON of Christmas tags.  I give them away as gifts for teachers, hostesses, bus drivers, hair dressers and keep a few for myself...  Welcome to Day 3!

Today's tag showcases a cut from SVG Cutting Files and a sentiment from Whimsical Designs:

I will be posting 2 or 3 creations each week, so be sure to check back often to see all 12 of my tag creations for Christmas 2017!

Die Cuttin Diva - November Sketch

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to a brand new challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas!  Today's challenge is a SKETCH CHALLENGE.  I can't wait to show you what I created.

This is a great simple sketch, and I LOVE it!!  I used my Silhouette to cut out the stamps.  I also used a circle die and flag die from Your Next Stamp.

The cutie polar bear is from MFTs Polar Bear Pals.  I coloured them in with my Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol.  The sentiment is from a retired set from Whimsical Designs.

Hippo Fairy

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create an ANYTHING GOES project. Here is what I created.

I am so in love with this cute Hippo Fairy!   She is a new cutting file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons, and she is part of an adorable set of costumed critters.

This card was for my girl.  She was going to Girl Guide camp last weekend, and was worried she would miss us, so I made her this cute card.  The sentiment is from an old stamp set from Whimsical Designs, it was the perfect sentiment for my girl and for the cute hippo fairy!  She is lying on the large scalloped rectangle from Craftin Desert Divas "Fancy Frames Die"

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to join us every week!  Our "schedule" is below

Yummo! PDE Tags

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create a TAG project. Here is what I created.

Cute, isn't it??  Gabrielle and I made some Pumpkin-Apple Muffins for one of her teachers.  We decided they needed a little tag, so I pulled out my Silhouette and went to work!

The tag and Pumpkin are  both from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  You can find all of Lisa's cute files HERE.  The sentiment is from an old Whimsical Designs stamp set.  I love using it for tags for food gifts!

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to join us every week!  Our "schedule" is below.

12 Tags of Christmas - Day 11

Happy Thursday everyone!!  Anyone who visits my blog regularly, knows how much I love to make Christmas Tags.  This year, I decided to do a "12 Tags of Christmas" series of posts.  Today is Day 11.

I can't believe my little series is almost done!  I may have to make this an annual thing.  I do SO love my Christmas tags, and I SO love giving them as hostess gifts and teacher/ bus driver gifts.  Here is my second to last tag:

Can you handle the cuteness??  It's another Cricut created tag.  The snowman is from Doodlecharms and the cute little face is from PKS.

The cute little sentiment is from a retired Whimsical Designs stamp set called "Snow Much Fun".  The "to and from" is from My Pink Stampers Christmas Wishes.

Be sure to come back to check out the next day in my series, and Merry Christmas!!

It's Paper Playtime!!

Happy Monday :)  I was honored to be ask to be a guest designer over at Paper Playtime this week - thanks Janis!  The challenge this week was to create a birthday card with a sentiment.  My son turns 10 next week, so I decided to make a card for him.  Here is what I came up with:

I decided to make Andrew a spinner card.  I have made two of them before HERE and HERE, and they were both girly cards.  Andrew wanted one too,  so I came up with this.  I followed a tutorial on Glora's blog.  I created the base of the card using shapes from George.  The stars are from CAC (I think...) and the moon is a bunch of circles from George.  I sponged around the edges to give the moon a bit of dimension.  His cutie little face is from Peachy Keen's  Wide Eyed Kids.

I cut the little astronautboy from B is for Boy, and his hair is from Everyday Paper Dolls.  Andrew loves the whole idea of space and space travel.  His face is from Peachy Keen's Boy Mates.  Isn't he cute?  The paper I used is from Stampin Up, Recollections and random paper from my scrap box.  The twine is from Doodle Bug Designs.

This final face is also from Boy Mates.  I used Whimsical Designs Whimsical Fun and Everyday Sentiments for the sentiments on the card.  Andrew and I used to say "I love you to the moon and back" every night before he went to bed, he will still do it sometimes when he is feeling lovey :)  I love how this turned out, and I hope that Andrew will too!

So, hop on over to Paper Playtime, and be sure to play along with us :)  I am sure the DT will inspire you with all of their amazing projects!

A challenge or two for my little card:
Paper Playtime - birthday and a sentiment
One Stop Craft - 3 circles
Just Some Lines - moon and stars
Our Creative Corner - our boys and their toys
Secret Crafter - men cards (my boy is a little man)
Creative Belli Blog - children
Shopping Our Stash - "boy" colors

52 Weeks of Tags - green

Happy Friday everyone!  We are nearing the end of March Break, and my kiddies head back to school Monday.  It is challenge day over at 52 Weeks of Tags.  Today Janis challenged us to create a green tag.

OK - confession time.  Green is my favorite color - well that and pink.  Part of me has been so excited about all these green challenges over the past few weeks, but at the same time I have been stumped.  I have felt as though I should be making St Patrick's Day cards- but I kind of don't get it.  What's the big deal about St Patrick's Day?  I certainly don't send cards for that occasion.  I don't drink green beer, or any beer at all for that matter...  It's all cute and fun, but it has been giving me crafter's block - that's a real thing I'm sure...  Once I decided to forget about the St Patrick's angle, and just make green cards, things got better :)  So I made this tag in honor of my son - he likes icky, slimy things...  Here is what I came up with:

The tag is from Plantin Schoolbook, cut at 4 inches, and the cute little lizard is from Boys Will be Boys.  I added some Googly eyes and a cute sentiment from Whimsical Design's Whimsical Fun stamp set.  The paper is all from my scrap box.  I am such a hoarder of paper, that I am trying to use what I have before I buy anymore - well within reason :)

I hope you all hop over to Pause Dream Enjoy, see what the rest of the DT has come up with, and play along with us.  There is a great prize for one lucky person who plays along in March!

A challenge or two for my little tag:
Simon Says Stamp - green
Anything Goes - boys to men
Use it Tuesday - green (my hoarded item is my paper)
Critter Sketch - use only green (hopefully the black ink doesn't count)
My Craft Spot - manly man cards (boys are little men, right?)
