Reindeer Food

Merry Christmas everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create any crafty project.  I love me some creative freedom...   Here is what I created.

Every year the kids make reindeer candy to sprinkle on Christmas Eve.  Usually I grab a free label off the web.  This year I decided to try to create my own.  I created this in my Silhouette Studio.

I fond some cute snowflake digi paper, and changed it's transparency, so it wasn't too dark.  I then found a really cute reindeer file.  It's from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon.  You can find it HERE

The poem is the same as you can find on most bags of Reindeer food.  I just typed it out and then made it fit on my label.  You have to fill it and change the line color so everything prints in the same color.

Here is a screen shot of my Silhouette Studio, whit my completed tags:

Of course, we then made some reindeer food - some oats and lots of glittery sparkling sugar and sprinkles.  The reindeer and Santa seemed to find their way to our house, and I will have 2 happy kids when they wake up!

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Christmas in July - Craftin Desert Divas

Happy Monday everyone!  We are mid-way through the current Linky Party at Craftin Desert Diva's, and it is Team B's turn to inspire you!  Tara challenged us to create a Christmas in July project.  Here is what I have created for today:

I love my simple card.  The silhouettes are from the Silhouette Online Store.  The paper is mostly from Michaels except the gold which is Stampin Up.  You can find Christmas sentiments in lots of places, and I found this one on Be Inspired.  For me, it reflects the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope you all come play with us!  There is still 1 week left in our party, so be sure to link up by August 3rd.  There are great prizes for a few lucky participants, so get your crafty on!  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

A Christmas Card and Day 3...

Today I decided to make a Christmas card. I usually make close to 100 cards a year to send to family and friends. I am trying to find something that I will want to make a lot of. I absolutely love how this card turned out, but it was a lot of work. Definately not something to make 100 of :)

This lovely stamp is from a company from Ontario called the Stamp Barn. I stamped it twice with Versa Mark and embossed it in gold. i then cut the stable part out, and pop dotted off the original, to give it a bit of dimension. I think it looks so neat! The "Noel" stamp and the stamp I used on the inside are from Stampin Up as is the paper and the edge punch. I also used some ribbon on the lower strip, that is holding the easel open, I just bought it at the dollar store. As you can see I made another easel card, my new favorite kind of card. I hope you guys like todays card.

Here are the challenges I am submitting this card for:
Crafty Ho's - peace
Crafty Cardmakers - glitter and sparkle
Cupcake Craft Challenge - books and stories
Simon Says Stamp - holidays
CES Challenge - christmas easel card
Card Creations by C - ribbons and bling (hopefully gold embossing and sparkly gold paper counts as bling...)

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend :)
