Something's Fishy

Happy Thursday everyone!  We are in the midst of Release Week over at Craftin Desert Divas.  Now, it is not my day to post a sneak, but I kind of fell in love with today's freebie.  You get it for commenting on all the sneaks, and following the blogs of the DT, and believe me, it's worth it!!  Here is a shape card I created with today's freebie:

Cute, isn't it??  Now, my doodling leaves something to be desired today, but I still love this cutie card.  The paper is all Recollections.  I embossed the water with my D'vine Swirls embossing folder, and cut out the cute TCBJ fishy.

The fabulous sentiment is from "Punny".  It is from the FIRST CDD release.  It is a great, fun set.  I have a few more projects designed with this set, you'll see them in the coming weeks.

I'll be back tomorrow with my Sneak Peek for you!  I hope you love it :)

Campers Have S'more Fun

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I don't know about all of you, but I am feeling VERY done with winter!!  Nova Scotia is in pretty rough shape after Sunday's storm.  There are inches of ice on every road and sidewalk, it is pretty treacherous!  And... we are expecting another storm tomorrow.  I wish I lived somewhere warm!

In an effort to remind myself that winter will end eventually, I have been making some cards that I will use this summer, when the kids are at camp.  I have been using Tara's fabulous "The Great Oudoors" stamp set to inspire my projects.  Here is what I created today:

I've gotta be honest, I LOVE this card!  I think it turned out so cute!  The cut is from SVG Cutting Files Camping Fun set.  The sun is from Cricut's Doodlecharms cartridge - it is my "go to" sun.  I cut 20 or 30 of them at a time, in a few different sizes, and keep them in a bag in my scraproom.  The paper is Recollections, Bazzil and SU.  I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens, and the fabulous sentiment, is from CDDs The Great Outdoors.  You can buy your own HERE.

Don't forget that this week is release week over at Craftin Desert Divas.  We are showcasing Tara's latest stamps and have some free SVGs for all who visit and follow us.

Be sure to come back tomorrow, for my own little version of "Throwback Thursday"  I will be showcasing a project using the freebie that is available TOMORROW with the CDD release and a sentiment from CDDs very FIRST release.  Can't wait to show you!

A challenge or two for my card:
Creative Moments - anything goes/ paper piecing
Whimsy Inspiration - use a sentiment

December 25th Tags

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's linky party day over at Pause Dream Enjoy.  Today, Janis challenged us to make an ANYTHING BUT A CARD project!!  Here is what I created:

In order to help me keep up with my Christmas crafting, I decided this year, to make at least one set of Christmas tags each month.  This is February's set of tags.  This is a super simple tag.  The tag shape is from Craftin Desert Divas "Tag It", and I cut the shape from the SVG files that come free with the purchase of the stamp set.  Isn't it perfect??

The sentiments are both from Craftin Desert Divas "Simply Christmas".  The "December 25th" sentiment is stamped on white paper, which I punched out with a circle punch.  I then shadowed it with a second circle punch and then my SU scalloped circle punch.  Easy peasy!

The challenge starts today.  Please hop over to Pause Dream Enjoy, see what the rest of the Design Divas came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

A challenge or two for my tag set:
CRAFT Challenge - traditional christmas colors
Crafty Gals - anything goes
