Cardz TV - Happy Holidays!

Happy Friday everyone!  This is my last post for this busy Friday.  If you are looking for my Exploring Cricut Hospital Survival Kit click HERE.  If you are look for my PDE Challenges "Music" project click HERE.   Today is the beginning of a brand new challenge from the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team.  The challenge is "Happy Holidays - Pick One!".  It starts today, and ends Thursday Sept 13th at 11:59pm EST.  The winner gets to choose a set of CardzTV Stamps.  To play along, all you need to do is creat a card, layout or craft project for ANY holiday you'd like using any colors you'd like.  Here is what I came up with:

I decided to make a file folder Christmas planner.  I saw this idea online a couple of years ago, but never got around to making one - this year, I was determined to make one.  The tutorial I followed is HERE.  All the paper is from CTMH, and that yummy navy ribbon is something I bought at The Cutting Garden, my LSS.  Every sentiment stamp I used is from Mary's STUNNING Classic Christmas set.  It is one of my favorite of her sets.

Here is a close up of the "Merry Christmas" and the beautiful deer that are on the front cover.  The image stamps I used are from a variety of companies.  This one is from The Artful Stamper. They are all embossed in gold.  I love the simplicity and beauty of gold embossing.

The image here is from Stampenduous, isn't it prefect with Mary's Silent Night sentiment?  The first pocket includes a little calendar and to do list.  November and December are behind October.  I found the list in each of the pockets HERE.  There fabulous printable lists are free, and changed anually, so you can print off new ones each year.

Peace on Earth is one of the most important ideals of Christmas - The angel is from an Inkadinkado stamp set, sin't she gorgeous with the sentiment?  There are 8 gift idea list, so I can have one for each of the most important people in my life.

This nativity stamp is from CTMH.  I thought it paired perfectly with Mary's "noel" sentiment.

"Wise me still seek Him" is one of my favorite Christmas sentiments.  I paired it with this Stampendous stamp that I picked up at Michael's.

Here is my Christmas planner all laid out.  It folds up beautifully and can be easily tossed into my purse.  I inked the edges with my Tea Dye Distress Ink.  I thought it helped to soften the edges.  I hope you like it!

Remember, you have till next Thursday to pick a holiday and play along with us!

A challenge or two for my file folder Christmas Planner:

Exploring Cricut - Hospital Survival Kit

I f you are looking for my Cardz TV Holiday Planner click HERE.  If you are looking for my Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge Music project click HERE.

Happy Friday!  Today is my day to share a project over at Exploring Cricut.  One of my best friends had surgery yesterday.  I decided to make her a Hospital Survival Kit and a cute little card.  Here is is:

Isn't it cute?  I picked up a container at Dollorama, and went from there :)  I used vinyl to create the "Hospital Survival Kit" on the bucket.  I cut out the words with Robotz - I just LOVE that font!  I cut it out, and then went to grab some Transfer Tape, to move the words, and to my chagrin, I discovered I didn't have any!  I hit Google, and found a solution:

Painter's Tape!  (Thanks Pink Circut!)  Who knew??  It would not work with big things, but for 1 inch words, it was PERFECT!  I couldn't believe how easy it was.

The painter's tape peeled off perfectly and the vinyl stayed exactly where it was - who could ask for more?

Didn't my $1 bucket turn out cute?  I kept it super simple, after all, I had no transfer tape ;)

Here is what I included in the basket.  A trashy gossip magazine, a puzzle book, some pencils (to do the puzzles) some elastics to hold her hair back, face cloths (cause there is NASTY stuff on the face cloths we throw in the laundry bins at work) hand sanitizer, ear plugs, cream, mouth wash, some lip balm (cause hospitals are so dry) a fancy eye cover thing and some fuzzy socks.  I also included a little picture frame with a picture I digitally created of her sons.

Here is the little 4x4 card I made for her.  The band aid is from Indie Art and the mat is from Elegant Edges. I embossed the background with Spots and Dots.  The sentiment is from MFT and punched out with SU's Word Window punch.  The face is from Peachy Keen's Princess Faces.  The paper and ribbon is all from Michael's and I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen.

I dropped it off to my very groggy girl friend at the hospital today, she loved it.  I hope it all comes in handy over the next few weeks, while she is recuperating at the hospital and at home.

Be sure to swing by Exploring Cricut.  One of the designers has a Cricut project every day.  There is tons of inspiration there!

Pause Dream Enjoy - Music

Happy Friday everyone!  Today is going to be a VERY busy day for my little blog.  3 post, yup 3 of them!  So be sure to drop in and see them all - my Exploring Cricut Hospital Survival Kit is HERE, and my Cardz TV Christmas Planner is HERE.  Today is challenge day at PDE Challenges.  Janis challenged us to create a project with music.  I grew up surrounded by music.  My parents are both classically trained musicians, and I sang in lots of choirs and played the Cello, so music is a huge part of my life.  Here is what I came up with:

The tag is from Plantin Schoolbook and the notes are from Quarter Note.  The faces are from Peachy Keen's Princess Faces and the sentiment is from Whimsical Design's Whimsical Fun.  The paper and ribbon are both from Michael's and I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.

This week's sponsor is Heather Ellis with 3 digital images to the lucky winner!

So pop on over to PDE Challenges, see what the DT came up with, and play along with us!

A challenge or two for my cute tag:
Kaboodle Doodles - music, dance the arts

Cardz TV Stamps Brew HaHa Day 2

Happy Sunday everyone!  It is Day 2 of Cardz TV Stamps Brew HaHa blog hop.  If you are looking for yesterday's project click HERE.  I decided to post a couple of extra projects that I made with this wonderful stamp set.  I loved all 3 of them, and decided to use them all for this hop.  Here are today's projects:

This project is a cute little tea bag holder.  I found the tutorial for it HERE.  Hmm, I just realized that I haven't taken a picture of the envelopes that hold the tea bags, I will have to do that later - cause the inside is super cute :)  The tea pot is from Savory cartridge and the paper is all from CTMH.  The ribbon is from Michael's.  This is the perfect little gift for a friend of mine who is having surgery next week.  She and I get together for tea, whenever our schedules allow.

This is another 4x4 card.  I am loving that size card!  The cricut cut is from Winter Frolic.  I cutied up her face with my favorite PK stamps - this face is from Wide Eyed Kids - love it :)  The paper and ribbon is all from Michael's and I did some doodling around with my Sakura Jelly Toll pens.

So, I'm sure you are all wondering where you can find this fun stamp set?You can buy it, and all of Mary's awesome stamps HERE.  They are all such wonderful and versatile sets, I warn you though, they are addictive!  You can't just have one :)

Don't forget about my blog candy!  You can win by commenting on either (or both) of my blog hop posts.  I would love for you to be a follower, but only if you like what you see :)  Isn't it a pretty butterfly stamp set?
