Today I created a birthday card for my little girl.  Her birthday party is today and her 9th birthday is on Monday - I'm not sure where the time went!  I have been making a real effort to use the things I already have, and one of the things I still have is my Cricut.  I love my Silhouette, but have been enjoying creating with my Cricut again.  This card uses one of my all time favorite cartridges, "Teddy Bear Parade".

I am really happy with how my card turned out, though I just realized I didn't doodle on it!!  Gasp!  I always doodle.  I'm sure my daughter won't notice... So, the cute teddy bear and all her pieces are all cut at 3 1/2 inches.  The top half of the card is embossed with Cuttlebugs Birthday embossing folder.  The patterned papers were in my scrap box, they are from a Christmas pad I bought this year - maybe DCWV?  The patterned papers are from Bazzil and Recollections and the ribbon is from Stampin Up.  Now to tell you about the amazing sentiment!

I love, love, LOVE  this new Short & Sweet Tag set!  I love how easy they shapes are to use with the coordinating SVGs and I love each and every one of the sentiments.  For today, I chose to use the HB2U sentiment, and used the flagged banner to set it on.  Isn't it perfect!?!  I can see me using this set a TON!  Here is a close up of the sentiment and the flagged banner SVG.

Here's the project I created....

I make homemade jam every summer.  I make lots of different varieties from the fruit available in the Annapolis Valley.  This particular jam is a Spiced Peach Jam.  I decided to make a cute little tag to give this jam to a friend.  I cut the tag from Plantin Schoolbook an the peach from Just Because Cards cartridge.  I'm trying to use my Cricut more often.  I forgot how much I enjoyed using it!

The face is from Peachy Keens "Piles of Smiles" set - it has 24 different 1 inch faces.  The paper is from Michaels and Bazzil, and the little dots are from Stampin Up.  I doodled around the tag with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  Here is a close up of my cute tag, so you can see all the details:

Here's today's free pattern:

3D Linky Party

Happy Monday everyone!  We are mid-way through the Linky Party over at Craftin Desert Divas and it is Team B's Day to inspire you.  Tara challenged us to create a 3D project.  Here is what I created:

I love this Lori Whitlock Treat Bag.  I found it in the Silhouette Store # 45731.  I cut it out of some fabulous paper from an old DCWV stack.  The banner on the bag is cut from the Craftin Desert Divas SVG Files that coordinate with the Tag It set.  It was the perfect fit for my sentiment.

I used 2 Craftin Desert Diva stamp sets to create this project.  First, Tag It for the little flagged banner and then Say It Big for the sentiment.  You can buy your own at the Craftin Desert Divas Store.

I hope you all come play with us!  There is still one week left to link up.  We have 2 amazing sponsors for this Linky Party:

Cow Are You?

Happy Sunday everyone!  I am popping on today to share another cute cow project.  This is my 4th project with the Simply Moovelous set.  It is such a fun set!  Here is my card:

I decided to try to color one of the cute cow stamps - honestly coloring is challenging for me, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out :)  I used my Primacolor pencils and some Gamsol to color the cow.

I stamped the cow on a mat from Elegant Edges and doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen.  The cardstock is from Michaels and the patterned paper is from my scrap box - I think it's DCWV...  The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas "Simply Moovelous" and you can buy your own HERE.

Don't forget to join us next week at our January Release party - you are going to love all of Tara's new stamp sets!

A challenge or two for my card:

I decided to make a very simple card that showcases the sentiment.  A quick run through my Big Shot with an embossing folder, add some pretty ribbon and voila!  A lovely card that only took me a few minutes to make.  Below is a close up of the sentiment, so you can see how perfect the font is.

I used "Say It Big" stamp set to create this project.  You can buy your own in the Craftin Desert Divas Shop HERE.

Are you loving it??  I know I am.  The cute little cow is from SVG Cutting Files Chibi Kids as Farm Animals.  I inked the edges of the white with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  I embossed the cardstock with my Cuttlebug Embossing folder.  The paper is mostly from Recollections, though the patterned paper is OLD Creative memories.  The ribbon and the enamel dots are both from Michaels.  Here is the stamp set I used to create this project:

Don't you LOVE the sentiment??  It is so cute :)  It is part of the Simply Moovelous stamp set, and I am so enjoying making these cute cow projects.  I still have one more cow project to share with you, so keep your eyes open for it!

Holy Cow!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I am popping on today to share a quick little project I made With my Craftin Desert Divas stamps.  Last week, I promised you more cute cow projects, and here is project number two:

Are you loving it??  I know I am!  I picked up this cute little box in the Silhouette Store design # 55807.  It was very easy to cut and put together.  The paper is all from Recollections and the twine is from Doodlebug Designs.  Here is a close up of the little tag, before I tell you all about it:

The tag is one of the SVG files from Craftin Desert Divas.  It coordinates with her AMAZING "Tag It" stamp set.  So, after cutting out the shape and then I stamped the tag shape, and then stamped my super cute cow sentiment from "Simply Moovelous".  It was super easy and I LOVE how it turned out!

Be sure to pop over to the Craftin Deset Divas Shop HERE, you can see all of Tara's cute stamps and pick some up for yourself!  I will have a few more cute cow projects in the next couple of weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out for them!

From Our House to Yours

Hi everyone, it's my day to share a project over at Craftin Desert Divas.  I have a super cute project to share with you today.

I am sure you all saw the Christmas Tags  that I made over the past couple of months.  I made over two hundred tags this year, giving most of them away in sets as gifts.  I decided that this year, I would do one to two sets of Christmas Tags each month.  Hopefully allowing me to get plenty done before the Christmas season.  Today I will share the first set of tags for Christmas 2015.  Of course, I used TWO of Tara's amazing stamp sets to create my tags!  Here it is:

Isn't that a cute tag?!  The tag itself is from Craftin Desert Divas "Tag It" stamp set.  I used the SVG files that coordinate with the set to cut the tags, and I offset it in my Silhouette software to create the shadow.  I just love this tag, it's the perfect size!  And in keeping with my goal to use my Cricut more, the house is from the Jolly Holidays Cricut cartridge.

Below is a close up of the sentiment, so you can see how perfect the font is.

The stamp sets I used to create this project are Tag It and Baked With Love.  You can buy your own in the Craftin Desert Divas Shop HERE.
