Don't Quote Me - Crafty Cardz

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Crafty Cardz Challenge.  Today Mary challenged us to create a card with OUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING.  Here is what I came up with:

I am a huge fan of quotes and sayings, I used to keep a book of quotes I loved - this one, is one of my favorites.  The past 2 summers, I have volunteered at a camp that my children go to called Camp Kidston.   There is a spot in the woods where they do vespers every night that is one of the most peaceful spots in the world.  At the foot of the cross is the verse from Psalm 46:10.

I created this card with the tree from Just Because and the sun from Doodlecharms.  I used some twine from Doodlebug Designs on the "rope" part of the swing.  The sentiment is from Flourishes set Lenten Rose.  The paper is all from Recollections.

The challenge starts today and goes until April 9th at noon.  So hop on over to Cardz TV, and see what all the Cricut Cardz Challenge team came up with.  There might be a prize for one lucky winner...  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Isn't it cute??  As you may recall, I am part of a group on Facebook called Play Along - people post projects with tutorials and then everyone can play along.  It is super fun!  This project was for an "envelope easter basket".  The original project which you can find HERE, used a sizzix die, but Stacey, created one using her Cricut.  You can see her project HERE.  Now, I don't have the cartridges that Stacey used , but I created a similar box using Christmas Cheer and Elegant Edges.  The bunny is made with shapes from George and Basic Shapes.

The paper is all from Recollections, and the carrots were made using SU Trendy Trees.  The cutie little tag is created from My Craft Spots "Tiny Tags Dies" and the sentiment is from Cardz TV's "Happy Days".  You can buy your own set HERE it is perfect for just about any occasion!

Be sure to swing by Exploring Cricut and play along with us, you could win a great prize!  I can't wait to see what you find on your cartridges to inspire us.  Don't forget that there are new projects to inspire you every day on the blog, created by our amazing and talented Design Team.  I always love seeing what they create.

Good Times Blog Hop - Cardz TV Stamps

Happy Saturday everyone!  Welcome to the Cardz TV Stamps Design Teams Good Times Blog Hop!  If you are here from the amazingly talented Ginger's blog, then you are in the right place.  Today we are showcasing a FABULOUS new stamp set that Mary created to celebrate birthdays called "Good Times".  Here is what I came up with:

Here is the front of my card.  The card is 4x9, which fits a legal size envelope (I think).  I thought it would be a great size for all my partying animals.  The cuts are mostly from Create a Critter.  The birthday hats and the sun are from Doodlecharms and the fence is a series of welded fences from Everyday Paper Dolls.  When I first saw this sentiment, this idea leaped onto my mind.  My husband took one look at it and said "Where is the cow" - I told him that the other animals were partying until the cows came home...  He thought I was nuts!  So I told him to open the card, and this is what he saw inside:

Cute, isn't it?? The card stock is all from Recollections.  The patterned paper is a bit of a mish mash - some old 6x12 Cricut paper pads (my name is Michelle and I am a paper addict...) some K and Co paper and stuff from my scrap box.  I did all the doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  I stamped both the sentiments using my favorite Versa Fine ink.  I popped up a few of the animals and the fence to give the whole thing some dimension.  The crowning touch on my cards - the sentiments from Cardz TV Stamps "Good Times set:

I am the final stop, in case you got lost, here is the line up:

Caught a Bug and AMAZING Soup!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog.  Here is what I have today:

This cute little project was inspired by some cute jar projects made by some of my bloggy friends.  HERE is Janis' project, HERE is Susan's and HERE is Miss Mary's card, which started it all.

The jar and branch are from Doodlecharms.  I manipulated it on my Gypsy Girl, so that it was fatter that it was intended to be - I wanted it to fit my lady bug.  She is from Create a Critter 2.  I stamped her cute little face with Peachy Keen's Princess Faces - I LOVE that set!!  The cardstock is all from Michael's and the patterned paper is from K and Co.  The twine is from Doodlebug Designs.  I did some doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  I decided to use one of Mary's cute stamps from Cardz TV.  You can get your own "Going Buggy" HERE.

I want to show you an amazing soup, that would be PERFECT to send to a friend who "caught a bug" along with my cutie card.  One day on Pinterest, I found THIS recipe for Italian Wedding Soup created by Everyday Maven.  It is a low fat, Weight Watcher's friendly recipe, and it is AMAZING!!  It is chalk full of veans and veggies - including kale, which I had never had before - the meatballs are flavorful and the broth is divine!  I topped it with some grated parmesan, which you can see in the second picture.  Doesn't it look yummy?

I did as "Everyday Maven" suggested and doubled the meatball recipe, I popped them in the freezer and last week, made another batch of this AMAZING soup.  I think it was even better than the first time I made it!   I am never having Italian Wedding Soup from a restaurant again!!

I hope you make this soup and visit Everyday Maven - give her some love - You will not be disappointed!!  Don't forget that every day, each one of the Exploring Cricut designers has a Cricut creation to share with you.  We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!!  Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!

St Patrick's Day - Exploring Cricut

Happy Monday everyone!!  It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut.  We have a great challenge for you today! We are showcasing ST PATRICK'S DAY projects.  Here is what I came up with:

I decided to make my munchkins some little treat bags for St Patrick's Day.  I went on a quick hunt for green candy, but didn't have much luck.  They love Smarties, so that's what I grabbed.  The little toppers are 4 x 4 1/4, folded in half.  The little shamrocks are from Create a Critter 2 - I love that cartridge as much as the first!

I made 2 of them, as I have 2 kids, and just flipped the colors on each of them.  I doodles around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens and stamped the cutie face with Peachy Keen's Happy Lashes, which you can find HERE.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Fun and Games", and you can pick up your own HERE.

It's So You - Cardz TV Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Cardz TV!  I love these days, because I get to play with Mary's amazing stamps - I can always find the perfect sentiment, not matter the challenge!  Today Mary challenged us to create a  project using MY FAVORITE COLORS.  Here is what I came up with:

These days, my favorite color combo is black, white and pink.   The card stock on this card is all from Michaels.  The patterned paper is from an old K and Co Valentines paper pack.  The cute little dress on a hanger is from the Paisley cartridge.  The ribbon is from Michaels and I did a bit of doodling around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen.  Now, on to the sentiment...

A couple of weeks ago, I did some shopping over at Cardz TV Stamps.  I picked up four new stamp sets!  Good Friends was one of them.  I have had this set on my wish list for a while.  I love these sentiments!  I have so many girlfriends that I don't see often - with jobs, and kids we just don't seem to find the time, unless we pre-plan.  I love the idea of sending them cards, saying "let's do lunch" or "you make me smile"... you get the idea.

Our challenge starts today and finshes Thursday March 21st at noon EST.  One lucky participant will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps of their very own!  Hop on over to Cardz TV, see what all my talented DT sisters came up with to inspire you, and play along with us.  One lucky person will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps of their very own.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

For the Boys - Pause Dream Enjoy

Happy Monday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  Today, Janis challenged us to make a project FOR A BOY!!  Now, I have been making Christmas tags for all my PDE projects, and I had a tag designed on my Gypsy girl - unfortunately, I got sick last week, and it just never got cut out.  I decided to showcase a layout I made for my son's album.  Here is what I came up with:

The pages are from a visit we made to Cornerbrook about 6 years ago - I am shockingly behind on my scrapbooking - The paper is all from Close to my Heart, and is based on a sketch from one their books.  I cut the title out with my Cricut - it is pretty simple all the way around.

I will be back with Christmas tags for my next challenge.  Please hop over to Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges, see what the rest of the talented design team came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!
