Gosh, my life seems to be getting away from me these days... I seem to have less time for crafting and far too much of my time is spent at work and sleeping! Too bad work and responsibilities get in the way of my fun! I was supposed to post this on Wednesday, but somehow did not... This week, over at Cricut Cardz Challenges, the challenge was to create a Mother's Day card using any color or cartridge I wanted. Here is what I came up with:
I made an easel card - gosh I love that style. The cartridge I used is Walk in My Garden. An oldie but a goodie... The stamps are from Heartfelt Creations and Stampin Up. The paper is mostly all Stampin Up, and I used my Divine Swirls cuttlebug folder to emboss the vase.
Hop on over, see what the rest of the design team came up with, and play along with us :) Happy Easter everyone!!

Happy Easter and a winner!
It is challenge day over at Cooking with Cricut. The challenge today was to create an Easter project. I ended up creating 2 different projects. They both use the Easter 2010 seasonal cartridge from last year. They are both very simple. Here they are:
I am in love with this sprokly jelly bean paper. It is so sparkly and cheery. I decided to just put a simple "happy easter" wish on it, and the little chick from the Easter cartridge.
This was my original card. After I finished it, I was not all that happy with it. I love the cross, I think it's stunning. I just needed a different way to showcase it. In the end, I think the background is too simple, maybe embossing would have helped... not quite sure....
So, the winner from the Royal Digi Easter Blog Hop is:

Patti, please contact me with your address, and I will get the stamps in the mail to you. I owe a few people some stamps from past blog hops. I am afraid I have been slacking a little bit :(
Hope you all have a wonderful day :)

My beautiful bunny is colored with my Stampin Up markers. The card stock is also from Stampin Up, and the awesome glittery jelly bean paper is from Best Creation Inc's Bunny Love line. You're a Catch!
Happy Friday! It is challenge day over at Flaunt it Fridays. Today's challenge is to use the Fish 2 (Shift button) on P.41 of Simply Charmed. One of my favorite things about FIF, is that I am often challenged to use cuts I would never use otherwise. This is one of those cuts. Here is what I came up with:
I cut the fish at 2.8 inches. The stamp is from Scrappy Moms "For the Boys" set, which I just got the other day :) The paper is a mix of Close to My Heart, Stampin Up and Provo Craft. The ribbon is from the Dollar store and I ran the paper through my Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Folder.
Despite the fact that I wouldn't have normally used this cut, I am happy with how the card turned out. Simple but cute... Hop on over to FIF, see what the other DT members came up with, then flaunt your stuff along with us!!

Birthday, Sheep and Winners...
Hey everyone! We are having the most beautiful sunny day here in Nova Scotia. The perfect day for my birthday :) We are planning a casual family dinner, with food from my favorite pizza place, and my hubby baked me a cake... I hope we all survive!!
Today is challenge day over at Flaunt it Fridays. Todays challenge is to use the Sheep from Country Life. That is not a cartridge I have, but I thought the sheep from From My Kitcheb was close, so that's what I used. Here it is:
Cute eh? This is a 4x4 card. The shadowed mat is a tag from Gypsy Wanderings. It is a sape I had in my head, with no idea if it was on any cartridge. Gypsy Wandering has ton of great shapes in its tags section, it was the second cartridge I checked, I was pretty excited to find it so quickly :) The paper is all Stampin Up, except the patterned paper which is Creative Memories. i bought the stamp last week from my LSS. It's by CC Designs and is the AmyR Critter Set. Cute, isn't it? So hop on over to FIF, see what the rest of the DT came up with, and play along with us.
Now onto the winner from the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog hop. Thanks to every one who hopped along with us :) I now have more than 800 followers, and I wish I could give you all some blog candy...

Eater Bunny Blog Hop!
To see my CWC DT post click HERE.
Welcome to the Easter Bunny Blog Hop, featuring the design team from Cricut Cardz Challenge. If you have come here from my wonderful and talented friend Janis's blog, then you are in the right spot. If you just happened upon the hop, then you should go back to Cricut Cardz Challenge and see all the cute creations we have made for you. Here is what I cam up with:
The card base is from Birthday Bash, the scallop is from Gypsy Wanderings, the top layer is from George and Basic Shapes. Create a Critter, one of my favorite cartridges , is where I found the basket and the bunny, and the cute little eggs are from Easter 2010. Iused my Simply Sweet stamp set for the sentiment, which I tried to curve - I think I need a bit more practise at that...
So, I am giving away some blog candy, which I completely forgot to take a picture of... it is a cute little rubber stamp set with some simple sentiments. I will post a picture later today, as soon as I get home...
And here it is! I managed to find a picture on line. Even easier than taking a picture, I hope it's big enough...
So how do you win the stamp set? Easy peasey!

April Showers
The challenge today over at Cooking with Cricut is very appropriate, at least it is this week in Nova Scotia... april showers have been out in full force. Hopefully the sun will be out again soon, I am starting to forget what it looks loke :) Here is the card I came up with :
The card base is from Smiley Cards, the umbrella is from Paisley, and the circle is from George and Basic Shapes. I used my Scrappy Moms stamps for the sentiment and drew in the little rain drops by hand. I decided to emboss it with my Cuttlebug Dotted Swiss embossing folder. The paper is mostly Stamping Up, and the ribbon is from Michaels.
Hop on over to Cooking with Cricut see what the design team came up with, and play along with us :)

Blog Hops and an Award
Hi everyone, I have been pretty absent in the last few weeks. I have been having a hard time adjusting to my new work schedule, and my crafting has been suffering... I have just signed up to do my first craft show this coming fall, so I MUST get my mojo back, and get into gear :)
I am in 2 blog hops this month. The first is tomorrow. It is hosted by the girls of Cricut Cardz Challenge and is an Easter Bunny Hop. I hope you all join us - I will be giving away some blog candy :)
The second blog hop I am in is a digital stamp easter blog hop, it is hosted by The Scrapbooking Queen and sponsored by Karber Digital Stamps. We are using a really cute easter digi stamp. It is April 15th - 16th.
Lastly, Rachel of Rachel's Paper Crafts was sweet enough to give me a Blog award. I am so honored she chose me! I will pass it along over the next few days, once my life sorts itself out. Thanks Rachel :)
Come on back tomorrow, see what I came up with and hop along with the team from Cricut Cardz Challenge. See ya then :)
