Happy New Year - Exploring Cricut

Happy Monday and Happy New Years Eve!  It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut.  Today's challenge is to create a New Year's project.  Here is what I came up with:

Cute huh?  The teddy is from Teddy Bear Parade cartridge.  It is all cut at 3 1/2 inches.  It is hypothetically possible that I might have put the sash on upside down - but we won't tell anyone that :)  The sparkly patterned paper is from CTMH and the rest of the paper is from Recollections.  I did a bunch of doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen and used one of Mary's fabulous Cardz TV Stamps for the sentiment.  It is from the "Classic Christmas" set, one of my favorites!

I hope you pop over to Exploring Cricut and play along with us.  I would love to see what you create!  Also, be sure to remember that there is new inspiration every day at Exploring Cricut , you can always find amazing ideas from all the talented designers!

A challenge or two for my cute card:

Just us Girls - sparkly new year (the patterned paper is sparkly)
Little Claire's - new year
Brown Sugar - happy new year
Fussy and Fancy - furry friends

Clown Bear - Exploring Cricut

Well, all my best intentions to post my late projects went out the window when I got home yesterday morning.  I arrived to a sick little girl, she has strep throat.  So yesterday was a trip to the doctor, and the pharmacy and then another trip to the pharmacy and phone call to the emergency line when she reacted to her antibiotics - fun, fun, fun!  Anyway, here I am TWO days late with my Exploring Cricut post for Friday.  Here is what I came up with:

I made this cute little card for my daughter to give to one of her friends, so I needed the clown to be girly!  The card stock is mostly from Recollections.  The patterned paper is an old stack I bought from Michael's when it first opened and  I did some doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  The stamp is from Cardz TV Stamps "Beary Sweet" and you can buy your own right HERE!

Be sure to go to Exploring Cricut every day, there is always an inspiring project to be seen there!  There is a new challenge starting there tomorrow, so be sure to check it out.

Well, I managed to completely lose track of the days - what with Christmas, all my night shifts and a sick munchkin - gotta love strep throat...  Unfortunately, I missed posting a couple of projects.  Here is what I created for Friday's "anything goes" challenge over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  A few cute last minute tags:

Aren't they cute?  The tag is cut from Plantin Schoolbook.  The cutie penguins are from Simply Charmed - I love that they make a boy and a girl :)  Their faces are both from PK Stamps.  I embossed the background of the tag with Swiss Dot.  The sentiment is from  Cardz TV Stamps "Christmas Joy" set.  You can buy your own HERE.

Bad me!

Eek!!  I have just realized that it is Friday, and I messed up :(  In the chaos of the holidays, and bad weather, I forgot to do my blog posts in advance. I am in the midst of 3 twelve hour nights, and am staying at my parents to make life easier for my hubby and the kids, cause I am sleeping during the day. I will be home some time Saturday and will get both my exploring cricut post, and my pause, dream, enjoy post up then. Sorry for my brain bleep :(

Here is what I came up with today:

One of my favorite things to do with the kids during the Christmas season, is to make cookies.  This year, I decided to try some new recipes and let them go to town with the sprinkles - as you can imagine, they were thrilled!  Some of the cookies they made are going to be for Santa, so I decided to make a little tag.

The tag is from Plantin Schoolbook.  That little ginger bread man is from Jolly Holidays - I bought it yesterday when Cricut had their digi cartridges 25% off - Yay!!  The card stock and patterned paper are both from Recollections and the button is from Walmart.  I did some doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens and glittered up my buttons with some stickles.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV's Christmas Joy set.  You can get your own HERE.

Magic Reindeer Food!

Happy Thursday everyone!  I have a cute little project to share with you today, the kids and I made Magic Reindeer Food the other day.  For any of you who don't know what that is, it's special sparkly food that leads Santa's reindeer to your home on Christmas Eve.  Here it is:

We made 6 little bags of reindeer food, one for each of the kids, one for my Mum and Dad's place - where we hang our stockings - and one for each of the cousin family's.  We see them all on Christmas Eve.

Here is a close-up of the little topper we put on the bags.  The reindeer is from CAC2 and I found the little poem on-line and printed it on my computer.

Here are my munchkins, getting ready to make the reindeer food - cute little monkeys!

And voila!  Our reindeer food...  Our secret recipe?  Oats, sugar and lots of edible glitter, decorative sugars and sprinkles.  The sugar and glitter help it sprinkle, so the reindeer will will be able to see our house from the sky and what reindeer can resist oats??  Make sure that everything you put in it is edible, just in case some birdies decide to feast on it :)

I will be back tomorrow with a new project for you, and here's a hint - it involves the sprinkles again...  see you then!

A challenge or two for my reindeer food:

Isn't it cute??  Teddy Bear Parade is my favorite cartridge these days!!  This little sledding girl in her winter coat, is cut at 3 1/2 inches.  The cardstock is a mix of Michael's and SU and I think the patterned paper is from a K and Co christmas pad from a few years ago, but I'm not positive ;)  I embossed the white paper with the snowflake folder from Cuttlebug.  I did a bit of doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen, and the sentiment is from Whimsical Design's "Snow Much Fun".
