My Love Story

Happy Valentines Day everyone!  I wanted to pop on today and share with you the card I made for my husband, to celebrate the day.  Here is what I came up with:

It is very simple, but I am happy with how it turned out.  The silhouette is from Sweet Hearts.  I layered it on a mat from Elegant Edges.  The next layer has been run through my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  The patterned paper is from an old K and Co valentines paper pack.  The rest of the paper is from Michaels as is the ribbon.  The sentiment on the inside and the outside is from Cornish Heritage Farms "Wedding Centres" set, and the Happy Valentines sentiment is from Whimsical Designs "With Love" set.

Hopefully my husband will like this as much as I do!  I hope you all enjoy a wonderful and love-filled day with all the special people in your lives.

Happy Friday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Cardz TV!  I love these days, because I get to play with Mary's amazing stamps - I can always find the perfect sentiment, not matter the challenge!  Today Mary challenged us to create a  set of 3x3 valentines cards for kids.  Here is what I came up with:

Aren't they adorable?  Each of the images is cut from Create a Critter 2.  The patterned paper is from Recollections.  The cardstock is from Bazzil and Recollections and the ribbon is from Michaels.  I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.

I used 3 of Mary's amazing stamp sets to complete these cards.  Although I do not have one of Mary's sets that are specifically for Valentine's Day, I find that her sets are so versatile I can find the perfect sentiment on so many of her sets!

You can find all of Mary's amazing stamp sets HERE.  You'll love them - I know I do!

Swimming Lessons

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog.  You may remember, that last week I shared a swimming layout I made using Teddy Bear parade - love that cartridge!!  Almost all of my layouts are 2 page spreads, so I decided to make a second page.  Here it is:

Cute, isn't it??  It matches wondefully with the first page I made.  The teddy is cut from Teddy Bear Parade at 3 1/2 inches.  The title is from Robotz.  The patterned paper is all from CTMH and the cardstock is a mix of Recollections and CTMH.   The buttons are from Walmart and the twine I used to tie them up with is from Doodlebug.

Again, I decided to stamp on my layout - I wante to make sure they matched...  I used Mary's "A Day at the Beach" stamp set on both the box with the bear, and the journaling box. You can buy your own set HERE.

Don't forget that every day, each one of the designers has a Cricut creation to share with you.  We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!!  Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!

A challenge or two:
Crafting by Designs - animal antics
Raise the Bar - animal attraction
Catch the Bug - anything goes
One Stop Craft - anything goes

Border Punches - Paper Playtime

Happy Monday everyone!

It's challenge day over at Paper Playtime.  Today, Janis challenged us to make a project showcasing BORDER PUNCHES!!  Here is what I came up with:

Saturday was my baby girl's 7th birthday.  She had a Barbie party.  When I was browsing Pinterest for ideas I saw THIS and decided that I needed to recreate her on my Gypsy girl.  I took a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes, and two scalloped circles from Elegant Edges and welded them together to make the base of my card.  I made a belly band to hold it closed and used EK Success's "Dotted Scallop Edge Puncher" to pretty up the edge.  Isn't it fancy?  The word Barbie is from Gypsy Font - welded on my Gypsy girl.

She was inviting 5 little girls, so I made 6, including one for her.  The pink cardstock is from Bazzil, the black and white are from Recollections.  The striped pink and white paper is also from Recollections.  I cut the "Barbie" silhouette out of Forever Young - she isn't exactly Barbie, but I figure she's close enough!  There is some pink ribbon from SU separating the striped paper from the white part of the invitation.  I printed the invite itself on the computer.

Be sure to peek back, because I will have a few other things from the party to share with everyone!  Please hop over to Paper Playtime, see what the rest of the Design Divas came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Mainly Red - Pause Dream Enjoy

Happy Monday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  Today, Janis challenged us to make a project using MAINLY RED!!  Here is what I came up with:

As you can see, I am continuing with my theme of Christmas tags.  This tag is from TTBM.  The cutie reindeer is from CAC2.  The card stock is all from Recollections, and the patterned paper came from a stack I bought at my LSS a few years ago - honestly I'm not sure who's paper it is.  I did some doodling around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.   The ribbon is all from Michael's.

The cute little sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.  It was the perfect size for my little tag.

Please hop over to Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges, see what the rest of the talented design team came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!
