Music Notes - Exploring Cricut

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog.  Here is what I have today:

I made this simple card with Quarter Note cartridge.  My mum and dad are both music teachers, so I wanted to create something cute for them - my mum has been using them.  I was inspired by the great patterned paper.  The stamp is one I found in the dollar bin at Michael - easy peasy!

Don't forget that every day, each one of the designers has a Cricut creation to share with you.  We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!!  Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!

Honey Bear - Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy

Happy Monday everyone!

It's challenge day over at Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  Today, Janis challenged the Paper Playtime team to make a project showcasing EMBOSSING and the Pause Dream Enjoy team to make a project with an OUTDOOR CRITTER!!  Here is what I came up with:

Isn't it adorable!!  I got this cutie little bear and bees at Miss Kate Cuttables and cut it on my Silhouette.  The embossing folder is from Stampin Up.  I seem to be enjoying bees, so I figured it was a reasonable investment.  The paper is all from Recollections as is the ribbon.  The buttons are from Walmart, the twine from Doodlbug Designs.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV "Going Buggy".  I am in LOVE with that set. You can buy one for yourself HERE.

Please hop over to Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges, see what the rest of the Design Divas came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

A challenge or two:
I'll be back to play after I wake up ;)

You're the Man Blog Hop

Happy Sunday everyone!  I am so excited that you decided to join us for Day 2 of our "You're the Man" blog hop.  We are showcasing Mary's latest stamp set, "You're the Man", it is a really fun set and I can't wait to show you what I came up with.  We have divided the Cardz TV Stamps design team into a Saturday Team and Sunday Team, so sit back, grab a drink and get ready for some fun inspiration!  Here is what I created for today's hop:

I wanted to show the versatility of this set.  You can make cutesy projects, fun projects, serious projects what ever you like!  This first project is a very simple card, but I love the sentiment behind it.  I cut the image out on my Cameo, created a shadow, duplicated it and welded the shapes to create the card.  To me - the measure of a man, is in the time he spends with his family.  I knew I could potentially marry my husband, when I saw him with the son of a friend of mine.  I thought the black and white kept it really simple.

On to project number two...  this little cutie is cut at 3.5 inches from my favorite Teddy Bear Parade cartridge.  The paper is all from Recollections as is most of the paper I used for these projects.  The patterned paper is old Creative Memories and the ribbon is from Michael's.  I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.

My final creation is, of course, Hello Kitty!  I seem to be obsessed since I got my Cameo - I have been having a ball converting coloring pages :)  I could not resist these little Hello Kitty's with all their moustaches!  I used the small moustache stamps to create the background paper.  Of course, all the sentiments are from You're the Man.  You can find all of Mary's amazing stamps right HERE!

What's a blog hop without some blog candy!  Mary will be giving 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps for her blog candy, so if you’re a follower of Cardz TV, just leave  a comment on her blog! Mary will use random.org to pick a winner, and will announce the WINNER on Monday!  Below is a list of all the stops in today's "You're the Man" Blog Hop. If you get lost, just come back here to check the list and find your way again!
Thank you for hopping with us today…we hope you had fun!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Happy Monday everyone!!  It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut.  We have a great challenge for you today! We are showcasing FLOWERS.  Here is what I came up with:

This is a regular A2 size card.  The top layer is 4x5 1/4.  I cut the circles out from George and Basic Shapes and embossed in with my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The flowers are from Pooh and Friends - their icon layer has some great cuts!  They are adhered to the bottom layer of the card, and I used foam tape to give the top layer some dimension.  The paper is mostly from Michaels, though I used some SU too.  The ribobn is from Michaels.  My beautiful sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Think Spring".  You can find all of Mary's amazing stamps HERE.

Be sure to swing by Exploring Cricut and play along with us, you could win a great prize!  I can't wait to see what you find on your cartridges to inspire us.  Don't forget that there are new projects to inspire you every day on the blog, created by our amazing and talented Design Team.  I always love seeing what they create.

Bubble Bath Buttons - Cardz TV Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Cardz TV!  I love these days, because I play with Mary's amazing stamps - I can always find the perfect sentiment, not matter the challenge!  Today Mary challenged us to create a BUTTON project.  Here is what I came up with:

I must admit, a relaxing bubble bath with a book, are my favorite way to relax after a long, hard day.  Hence the sentiment - "Oh Happy Day" it is always a happy day when it ends in the bath :)

I cut this cute little Hello Kitty on my Cameo, with a file I made from a coloring page.  The cardstock is a mix of Recollections and Bazzil.  The patterned paper is from CTMH.  I decided to use my buttons as bubbles.  I got all the buttons from Walmart.  I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  The tag is from My Craft Spot.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Happy Days set.  You can see all of Mary's amazing stamps HERE.

Our challenge starts today and finishes May 2nd at noon EST.  Hop on over to Cardz TV, see what all my talented DT sisters came up with to inspire you, and play along with us.  One lucky person will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps of their very own.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Butterfly Friendship

Happy Monday everyone!  It's challenge day over at Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  Now, I normally make a different project for each challenge, but between my work schedule and playing with my Cameo, I kind of ran out of time, so today I have one project that showcases both challenges.  Janis challenged the Paper Playtime team to make a project with MORE THAN ONE FOLD and she challenged the Pause Dream Enjoy team to make a FRIENDSHIP project.  Here is what I came up with:

This is a different style of project for me.  I usually do cute, but I think this is more elegant.  The centre step card is a file I got from the Silhouette Store.  The butterfly was a free SVG file I found on line.  The paper is all from an old CTMH set and the ink is Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from a beautiful Flourishes stamp set called Sweet Days of Summer.

Please hop over to Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy challenges, see what the rest of the Design Divas came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Skullette Shape Card

Happy Sunday everyone!  I am popping on today to share a quick little project I made with my cameo.  My daughter and her friends are all into Monster High.  I couldn't find anywhere I could buy a card or cut file, so I made one myself.  Here it is:

Don't you just love it??!!  I did the cut file and then created a shadow on my Cameo - duplicated it, flipped it, welded it and VOILA!  A shape card, just like that!  I duplicated the black layer in the pink and adhered it to the inside to help give the the card a little more strength.  I used some less thick cardstock by mistake...  The sentiment on the front and the tag are from My Craft Spot.  The inner sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Good Times" sentiment set.  You can buy your own set HERE.

I'll be back tomorrow with my Design Team project for Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy.  I cut it from my Silhouette - it's a different project for me :)  Hope you pop over to see it.

Swimming Hello Kitty

Happy Friday everyone!  I am popping on today to share a quick little project I made.  One of the things I most wanted to learn with my Cameo, was how to create my own cutting files.  Earlier this week, I figured it out!  It takes me FOREVER, but here is a cute little Hello Kitty that I made and cut out:

Isn't she ADORABLE??!!  I love her :)  The cardstock is a mix of Recollections, Bazzil and an old 6x12 Cricut paper pad.  The patterned paper on her swimsuit is also from an old Cricut pad.  The blue frame behind Hello Kitty and the 4x5 1/4 mat are free digital papers from Blablablacontenidos you can download it HERE.  For the adorable sentiment, I used Cardz TV "A Day at the Beach" sentiment set.  You can find it and all of Mary's amazing stamps HERE.

Be sure to pop back on Sunday, because I will have a shape card to share with you that I cut out on my Cameo from a cut file I put together.  I can't wait to share it with you!

Hello Kitty Rocks!

Happy Thursday everyone!  I am popping on today to share a quick little project I made with my new toy.  My birthday was last week and my sweet husband (along with some help from my parents and my in-laws) bought me a Silhouette Cameo.  Woo Hoo!!  I have been coveting one for a while, so I was really excited!  Ove the past few days I have been exploring all it's features, and learning how to cut files.  The very first file  I cut was created by my sweet friend Ruthie of September Ninth.  Here it is:

Isn't she adorable??!!  I must admit, I am NOT a KISS fan, but I am a HUGE Hello Kitty fan, and I could not get over how cute she was!  I cut her out using my Cameo, which cute beautifully!  The paper is all from Recollections, including the sparkly patterned paper - which doesn't look very sparkly in the picture...  I bought the gorgeous ribbon at my favorite LSS The Cutting Garden, where Mike bought my Silhouette.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV "Good Times" sentiment set. I cut it out with my word window punch.  You can buy all of Mary's amazing stamps HERE.

You can find Ruthie's original card right HERE, be sure to leave her some thanks and some bloggie love if you end up downloading her freebie!

I will be back tomorrow with a Hello Kitty project that I made myself!  I was so excited to figure out how to create my own cut file :)

It's a Spring Thing - Exploring Cricut

Happy Monday everyone!!  It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut.  We have a great challenge for you today! We are creating projects with at LEAST 1 button, 2 cricut cuts and 3 patterned papers or cardstock colors.  Here is what I came up with:

I made a fun shape card.  The base of the card is the flower pot and it's shadow.  It is from Walk in My Garden.  I took the shadow, duplicated and welded it on my Gypsy Girl to create the card.  I then layered the pot on top of the shadow.  I just put glue around the edges so the flower layer could slide in and out.

I cut a rectangle out of George and Basic Shapes to put all my daisies on.  The daisies are also from Walk in my Garden.  I inked the edges of my pot and flowers with some Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The button is from Walmart and the twine is from Doodle Bug Designs.  The amazing sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Think Spring".  You can buy your own set HERE.

Mix It Up - Cardz TV Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Cardz TV!  I love these days, because I get to play with Mary's amazing stamps - I can always find the perfect sentiment, not matter the challenge!  Today Mary challenged us to create a card with at least 3 PATTERNED PAPERS.

So, I have to be honest.  I found this challenge extremely difficult!  Any of you, who regularly visit my blog, will know that I often use no patterned paper at all on my cards - or maybe one piece... but THREE??!!  I guess that's why they call it a challenge :)  Here is what I came up with:

I decided to go as simple as possible with this card.  I found a paper pad I bought last year and I knew that it would work perfectly with Cardz TV's "School Days" set.  The red panels are 1 1/4 x 4 inches by 4 inches.  The patterned paper is 1 inch by 3 3/4 inches and it's all on an A2 size card.  The card stock is all from Michael's.  I inked my stamp with my Versa Fine ink and doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens.  The ribbon is from Michael's.  I popped up the sentiment on one layer of foam tape.  The School Days set is one of Mary's earlier stamp sets, and I love it for all those teacher gifts.  You can buy your own HERE.

Our challenge starts today and finishes April 18th at noon EST.  One lucky participant will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps of their very own!  Hop on over to Cardz TV, see what all my talented DT sisters came up with to inspire you, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!
