Happy Wednesday everyone! It is challenge day over at Cricut Cardz Challenge. Today Mary challenged us to create a round or square card using the card feature from any cartridge. Here is what I came up with:
I made my card base using the card feature from Birthday Bash. The circle layer with the hearts is cut from Birthday Bash as well. The cute Koala, is from Create a Critter 2 - I tell you, that cartridge is as cute as the original! I blinged her up with a little gem on her bow and some twine around her neck. The cardstock is all from Recollections and the patterned paper is from an old stack by K and Co. The "love" on the heart is from Cardz TV's Encouraging Thoughts.
I also used a Cardz TV set for the sentiment on the top of the card. It is from "Beary Sweet" - you can buy all of Mary's wonderful stamps HERE.
The challenge starts today, and you have until noon EST February 12th to play along with us. So hop on over to Cardz TV, and see all the inspiration the Cricut Cardz Challenge team came up with. There might be a prize for one lucky winner... I can't wait to see what you come up with!

1-2-3 with Exploring Cricut
Happy Monday everyone!! It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut. We have a great challenge for you today! It is a 1-2-3 challenge! 1 Embellishment, 2 Patterned Papers and 3 Cricut Cuts. So, I can have a bit of a literal personality - before I could create this little layout, I needed to be certain of the rules. Did one embellishment mean actually one - like one button, one brad etc. Did it mean one KIND of embellishment - like all the buttons I wanted? You get the idea. I was equally worried about the Cricut Cuts... I have been assured that the key here is that you use "at least" 1-2-3! Here is what I came up with:
It has been forever since I did a layout - I am YEARS behind with my scrapping - eeek!! I decided to do a cute little swimming layout. So, my 1-2-3... 1 - embellishment: the button they are from Walmart. I tied a little piece of twine into each of them. 2 - patterned papers: they are both from CTMH. 3 - cricut cuts: the cutie swimmer is from Teddy Bear Parade. She is cut at 3 1/2 inches. The wave is from Zoobaloo. I cut is at 12 inches in length, so it would fit on my page. The title is the last cut. It is from Robotz - my favorite chunky font!
The cardstock is all from Michael's. I decided to stamp on my layout!! I never mix stamping and crapping, but I am stepping out of my little box :) "A Day at the Beach" is one of Mary's amazing Cardz TV stamp sets, and you can buy your own HERE.
Be sure to swing by Exploring Cricut and play along with us, you could win a great prize! I can't wait to see what you find on your cartridges to inspire us. Don't forget that there are new projects to inspire you every day on the blog, created by our amazing and talented Design Team. I always love seeing what they create.
A challenge or two:
4 Crafty Chick - buttons
DL Art - use red or pink
Challenges 4 Everybody - anything goes
Scrappy Frog Challenge - try something new (stamping on my SB page - eek!)

Color Challenge - Cardz TV Stamps
Happy Friday everyone! It is challenge day over at Cardz TV! I love these days, because I get to play with Mary's amazing stamps - I can always find the perfect sentiment, not matter the challenge! Today Mary challenged us to create a project using only RED, WHITE and BLACK. Here is what I came up with:
I decided to make a card set. Each of the owls is from Hoot'n'Holler. Aren't they super cute??
GASP!! I just realized I didn't doodle on the owls!! I will have to do that before I give these away.... The doodling I did do is done with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen.
The mat they are on is from Elegant Edges - one of my go to cartridges.
The patterned paper is from Creative Memories and all of the cardstock is from Michaels, as is the ribbon. The buttons are from Walmart.
The sentiments on each of these cute cards is from Cardz TV's "For the Birds" sentiment set. It is perfect for this cartridge! I stamped it with my Versa Mark ink. You can find this great stamp set HERE.
So, I decided this cute set, needed a cute box to house it :) A couple of years ago I found a card box created by the talented Momo. I have used it many times, it is fun and easy and always turns out perfectly.
Isn't it cute? You can find the directions for "Momo's card box" HERE. I used Cardz TVs "Christmas Joy" stamp set for the sentiment. You can buy your own HERE.
Here is a picture of the box open and filled with my little card set. I made the box with some Bazzil card stock and the owl and mat are made with Recollections paper from Michael's.
Hop on over to Cardz TV, see what all my talented DT sisters came up with to inspire you, and play along with us. The challenge starts today and ends February 7th at noon. One lucky person will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps of their very own. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
A challenge or two for my card set:
Make it Monday - anything goes
Bunny Zoe Crafts - anything goes
Eureka Stamps - anything goes
Kaboodle Doodles - ribbon
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - red or hearts
Lady Anne's Challenge - sentimental fridays
4 Crafty Chicks - buttons

Chilly Days - Exploring Cricut
Happy Tuesday everyone! It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog. Here is what I have today:
I know, Teddy Bear Parade... again... I LOVE this cartridge, I just can't get enough of these super cute little Teddy's :) I have used this cute before, but I made a fall teddy, this one is more wintery. The teddy and his parts are all cut at 3 1/2 inches. I doodled around with my Sakura Jelly Roll pens. The paper is mostly from Michael's, as is the ribbon, and the patterned paper is CTMH (I think...). the buttons are from Walmart and the little bits of twine I used are from Doodlebug Designs. The sentiment was embossed with Versa Mark and embossed with white embossing powder. It is from Cardz TV Stamps "Fall Fun" You can buy your own right HERE.
Don't forget that every day, each one of the designers has a Cricut creation to share with you. We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!! Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!

It's challenge day over at Paper Playtime. Today, Janis challenged us to make a project showcasing !! Here is what I came up with:
Isn't it cute??!! I must admit, this is a bit outside the box for me. I tend not to do "boy" cards - unless I have to. I decided to challenge myself, and I must admit, I am really happy with the results. The mat is from Elegant Edges and the deer is from Camping Critters. Almost all the paper is from an old Close to my Heart paper pack, but the blue and cream are from Michaels, as is the ribbon. The buttons and the brown twine are from Walmart. The sentiment, which is perfect for this card, is from Whimsical Designs, Everyday Sentiment set.

Happy Monday everyone! It is challenge day over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges. Today, Janis challenged us to make a project using DESSERTS!! Here is what I came up with:
Ah... Christmas pudding! My mum makes it every year for Christmas dinner. It is an acquired taste - my husband has never quite gotten there, but it tastes like Christmas to me! The bling is from my local Dollarama and the ribbon is from Michael's.
As you may recall, I am going to try to have all my PDE projects be Christmas Tags. This one was easy and fun to make. The cute sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

A Banner Year - Cricut Cardz
The banner is cut from Jolly Holidays. I ran the fronts through my Big Shot to add some dimension and used my stickles to glitter them us a little. The pink ribbon is from my LSS, you can't really tell from the picture, but it has a little bit of sparkle in it. The stamps is from CTMH - Kanji Phrases. It is a little different than my normal card, but I am happy with how it turned out.
Pop over to Cardz TV, see what the Design Team came up with, and play along with us. You have until next Tuesday at noon to participate and one lucky player will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps!

Snowman Hugs - Exploring Cricut
Happy Monday everyone!! It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut. We have a great challenge for you today! We are showcasing winter projects. Here is what I came up with:
Isn't she cute? I cut the snowman from Winter Frolic. I wanted to use the snowman who looked like she was hugging someone, but didn't like the hat on her, so I sized one of the other snowman's hats on my Gypsy girl to make sure they fit. The sun is from Doodlecharms and the little snow dots are also from Doodlecharms - they are from the snowflake cut, which is what I was originally going to use, but shen I tried them on the card, they were too big. Her cute little face is from PK's Happy Lashes, and the sentiment is from Whimsical Designs "Snow Much Fun" set.
Be sure to swing by Exploring Cricut and play along with us, you could win a great prize! I can't wait to see what you find on your cartridges to inspire us. Don't forget that there are new projects to inspire you every day on the blog, created by our amazing and talented Design Team. I always love seeing what they create.

Dog Treat - Exploring Cricut
Happy Tuesday everyone! It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog. The kids and I decided to make some homemade doggie treats for all the dogs in our lives this past Christmas. Once I made them, I decided they needed cute bags. Here is what I came up with:
Aren't they cute?? I cut the bone and dog from Create a Critter 2. I love how they turned out :)
Here is a pick of the bones in the bags. I found a cute set of dog cookie cutters at Michael's and got them at 50% off - gotta like that!! I used Scrappy Moms "Amusing Animals" for the sentiment. I thought it was perfect!
I found the dog treat recipe on Pinterest, the link to it is HERE, and just in case, here is the recipe for the treats. They were really easy to make up:

Homemade Dog Treats
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk together peanut butter, honey, oil and chicken broth. In a separate bowl, combine flours and oatmeal. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
Place dough on flour dusted surface. Roll or press dough out to about 1/4” inch thick. Use a small bone cookie cutter to cut out cookies. My cookie cutter was a 5-inch bone-shaped , but for small dogs you may want to use a small cookie cutter (around 2″). Roll out leftover scraps and cut out as many as possible.
Put cut out cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 14-16 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack.
Don't forget that every day, each one of the designers has a Cricut creation to share with you. We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!! Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!

However I have decided that I will try to do two different projects for each blog. My PDE projects are going to be mostly Christmas tags and I want my Paper Playtime projects to be a bit more varied.
Today, at Paper Playtime, Janis challenged us to make a project showcasing PETS!! Here is what I came up with:

A traditional pet? Certainly not, but I have a 10 year old son, who has spent plenty of time trying to convince me, that frog is a PERFECT pet! So far, I have managed to not gain a frog :) The frog is from Create a Critter and the mat is from Elegant Edges. The paper is a mix of an old Provo Craft pad I got with my original Cricut about 6 years ago, and old Creative Memories - I am such a paper hoarder!!! The ribbon is from Michaels and the buttons are from Walmart. The sentiment is from Cardz TVs "Toad-ally Awesome" tamp set.

I have decided that I will try to do a different projects for each blog. This year, I have decided to try to create Christmas tags for every PDE challenge - as long as the theme allows. I was scrambling for tags this Christmas, and I like giving tags as a little gift. You can pretty them up in a little box, and they are the perfect little thing to give to a teacher, or hostess gift. Today, Janis challenged us to make a project using ribbon!! Here is what I came up with:
The tag is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, and the poinsettia is from Wrap It Up. I inked the edges in white. The paper is a mix of Recollections and SU. I used the Victorine Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the background.
I made 9 of these tags, and will probably do so every challenge, then I will have TONS of tags to give away and choose from for Christmas. I stamped the simple sentiment with My Pink Stampers Christmas sentiment set. Don't they look pretty?
Please hop over to Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges, see what the rest of the talented design team came up with, and play along with us. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
