Magic Reindeer Food!

Happy Thursday everyone!  I have a cute little project to share with you today, the kids and I made Magic Reindeer Food the other day.  For any of you who don't know what that is, it's special sparkly food that leads Santa's reindeer to your home on Christmas Eve.  Here it is:

We made 6 little bags of reindeer food, one for each of the kids, one for my Mum and Dad's place - where we hang our stockings - and one for each of the cousin family's.  We see them all on Christmas Eve.

Here is a close-up of the little topper we put on the bags.  The reindeer is from CAC2 and I found the little poem on-line and printed it on my computer.

Here are my munchkins, getting ready to make the reindeer food - cute little monkeys!

And voila!  Our reindeer food...  Our secret recipe?  Oats, sugar and lots of edible glitter, decorative sugars and sprinkles.  The sugar and glitter help it sprinkle, so the reindeer will will be able to see our house from the sky and what reindeer can resist oats??  Make sure that everything you put in it is edible, just in case some birdies decide to feast on it :)

I will be back tomorrow with a new project for you, and here's a hint - it involves the sprinkles again...  see you then!
