52 Weeks of Tags - green

Happy Friday everyone!  We are nearing the end of March Break, and my kiddies head back to school Monday.  It is challenge day over at 52 Weeks of Tags.  Today Janis challenged us to create a green tag.

OK - confession time.  Green is my favorite color - well that and pink.  Part of me has been so excited about all these green challenges over the past few weeks, but at the same time I have been stumped.  I have felt as though I should be making St Patrick's Day cards- but I kind of don't get it.  What's the big deal about St Patrick's Day?  I certainly don't send cards for that occasion.  I don't drink green beer, or any beer at all for that matter...  It's all cute and fun, but it has been giving me crafter's block - that's a real thing I'm sure...  Once I decided to forget about the St Patrick's angle, and just make green cards, things got better :)  So I made this tag in honor of my son - he likes icky, slimy things...  Here is what I came up with:


The tag is from Plantin Schoolbook, cut at 4 inches, and the cute little lizard is from Boys Will be Boys.  I added some Googly eyes and a cute sentiment from Whimsical Design's Whimsical Fun stamp set.  The paper is all from my scrap box.  I am such a hoarder of paper, that I am trying to use what I have before I buy anymore - well within reason :)

A challenge or two for my little tag:
Simon Says Stamp - green
Anything Goes - boys to men
Use it Tuesday - green (my hoarded item is my paper)
Critter Sketch - use only green (hopefully the black ink doesn't count)
My Craft Spot - manly man cards (boys are little men, right?)

    Ohhhh Michelle!!! He is just adorable!!! I love the googly eyes! I also don't really get all the green beer and stuff, and the don't drink beer, lol!!! Hugs, Brigitte
    BTW, I absolutely love Art of Philosophy cartridge, I don't use my Cricut as much as I should, but when I do, I always go for this one.
