Today's card is quick and simple. I cut her out on my Gypsy at 3.9 inches, so it would fit in an A2 envelope. I made it for my daughter, who wanted me to cut her the cow on Create a Critter. We all love that cartridge :)
The paper is a mix of Walmart stuff and StampinUp. I used Lots of Pun stamp by Joy's Life, Memento Ink, stickles to bling up her horns and the pink bow, StampinUp ribbon.
Challenges I am submitting this for:
Made by Momo - black, white and on other color - I chose pink
Paper Playtime - at the farm
Pollycraft Monday - nature
Halifax is currently melting in a heat wave, and Hurricane Earl is following quick behind - we are going to be battoning down the hatches. Hope everyone in his path stays safe this week :)

Fairy princess
This card was partly designed by my 4 year old. She gave me color suggestions, purple is her favorite color, followed closely by pink and chose the fairy. She loves Once Upon a Princess and often asks me to cut things from it. This is the card I came up with, following her guidelines:
The fairy and flowers are from Once Upon a Princess, the stamp is from MFT's Pure Innocence line, and the paper is all StampinUp. Sorry about the picture quality, I was having issues with light when I took it. The dress, hat and wings are all purple, and they look sort of blue/grey in this pic.
Challenges I am submitting this card for:
Pixie Dust - stitching
Flutterby Wednesday - anything goes
CES Challenges - anything goes
Craft Your Days Away - with wings
Magical Monday - flowers
Aly's Sunday Challenge - pretty in pink
Mark's Finest Paper - friendship card
One Stitch at a Time - girl card and color scheme
Hope you all have a great day, I'll be back with another card in the next day or two.

Not so sure...
You know how sometimes you have a picture of a card in your head, and it is simple, but cute and you are excited to make it? And then when you do make it, you think hmm - this is NOT how it looked in my head :( This is one of those:
The image is from Stretch Your Imagination, using the blackout and silhouette features. I cut the scalloped square from Storybook. The sentiment is a Close to My Heart stamp. I used Mostlt StampinUp paper, but the patterned paper was from my scrap box. The heart punch is from creative memories.
The card is based on a sketch challenge that I am too late to submit it for, but you can still go take a peek at the sketch - CPS Card Sketch - 181
The challenges I am submitting this for -
Pear Tree Design - wedding theme
Paper Playtime - anniversary
That's it for today, hope you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend!

Feeling Blue
I have a couple of productive days off. I made quite a few cards, got much of the house cleaned, finished reading Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkabahn (sp?) and started reading HP and the golblet of fire to my son, tidied up my scrapping space and made it a mess again... who could ask for more? Here is the card I'm sharing today:
The stamp is from MFT's pure innocence line. I do love those stamps. I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and used the baby oil technique to blend the colors. I am still really new to it, but it is a fun technique. Most of the paper is Stampin Up, the patterned paper I think may be old Creative Memories. The 2 little metal brads were bought at my LSS, no clue who made them, they were just in my stash...
Here are the challnges I am submitting this for:
Paper Cutz Challenges - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - sketch
If the Shoe fits - metal(brads)
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Blue and green
Hope you are all enjoying the waning days of summer - the nights are getting cool on the East Coast.

School Time!
Two posts in one day - look at me!! Today at Cricut Cardz Challenge the theme was Back to School. I was inspired to make this cute little card on my Gypsy, while watching Harry Potter with my 8 year old. I love how I was able to multi-task - still spending time with him, and crafting too. I even managed to find some time to get it cut out :) The design team (of which I am now a part - see my earlier post today) has some great inspiration for you!
I used Locker Talk, cutting the bus at 5 inches, flipping it and welding it at the top. Fun and easy! The people are from Every Day Paper Dolls and the faces, from Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart set. I used mostly Stampin Up paper, though some was from my scraps box.
Challenges I am submitting this card for:
Cricut cardz Challenge - back to school
Little red Wagon - back to school
Paper Pretties - back to school
ABC Design Blog - Back to School
S2G Challenge - Back to school and yellow
I'll be back again tomorrow with another creation :)

Exciting news and a card set!!
A couple of weeks ago, I submitted these cards and a few others to Cricut Cardz Challenges to become a member of the design team. I was chosen, along with many other talented ladies. It is very exciting!! I have never been part of a design team before. I will be posting my creations every 2 weeks along with the other memeber of "Team 2"
This little set of 3x3 cards and the pink box to hold it was all made with Create a Critter and Lots of Pun by Joy's Life. The paper is all from my scrap box, and the ribbon I bought at the Dollar Store. These were so fun to make. They take very little time, and use up scraps. I love anything that uses up my scraps :)
I hope you all have a great day, and join us over at Cricut Cardz Challenge The challenges are always lots of fun! I'll be back tomorrow with a new post - or maybe even later today. I have an idea for the back to school challenge over at Cricut Cardz :)

If you like Pina Coladas...
I love that song!! Cheesy, I know... but this card makes me think of it and smile :)
I created this card on my Gypsy, using Life's a Beach. It was a little more complicated than I expected it to be. This cartridge does not have a shadow feature, or even a blackout feature, both of which make shape cards alot easier. And I had to do a bit of doctoring tho the card base. The straw and the umbrella both got cut off the white base, so I could get it all to fold nicely. you can't even tell, looking at the front of it :)
The stamp is from Lots of Pun from Joy's Life. The paper is pretty much all Stampin Up, though a few random pieces are from my scrap box. I am happy with how it turned out! I think it looks YUMMY!
The Challenges I am submitting this to:
Fantabulous Cricut - tropical
Corrosive Challenge - drinks
One Stitch at a Time - shapes (I figure a shape card counts)
A Crafty Little Place - food - hopefully a lemon and a cherry count :)
Charisma Cardz Challenges - die cuts - I used my favorite die cutting machine, my cricut.
I'll be back tomorrow, with some new cards, and a little surprise...

The Ocean
I'm back!! it's hard to believe it's been almost a week since I last posted. Work was nuts and I just didn't have the energy, and yesterday we took the kids to the beach. Living on the east coast of Canada means there is a very shortr season in which we can go in the Atlantic. Yesterday was stunning, the water was gorgeous, the waves crashing and the beach reasonably quiet, a perfect summer afternoon. The ocean even inspired this card:
This is a Triangle fold card. I followed a great tutorial by Janis of Pause, Dream, Enjoy. You can find the tutorial HERE. I used Create a Critter to cut out the sea creatures. The stamp is from "Lots of Pun" by Joy's Life. I won it a few weeks ago from the amazing Ruthie. The paper is from an old stack I got at Michael's years ago, and have never used... the card stock is mostly Stampin Up, as is the ink I used.
Here are the challenges i am submitting this card for:
Cricut Cardz Challenge - anything goes
Paper Pretties - summer theme
ABC challenge - B is for BLUE
The Treehouse Thursday Challenge - under the sea
My Sheri Crafts - miss you
Secret Crafter - blue and cream
Last but not least, I wanted to share a pic of my daughter as she ran out of the water yesterday. I love the light in this picture, and would love to be able to say I did it on purpose, but it was just a happy accident :)
I will be back tomorrow, with a new card - I don't go back to work till Friday, that should leave lots of time for crafting - at least I hope it will :)

Another Easel Card
Someone warned me yesterday that easel cards were addictive. I have discovered that they were right! It was a fast, fun a easy card, so I decided to make another one today. I think it turned out really cute :)
This card uses a figure from Forever Young, cut at 3.75 inches. The flower is also from Forver Young, cut at 1.25 inches. The sentiment and border punch are both from Stampin Up. All the paper is also from Stampin Up, including the patterned paper. i Stickled the trim on her dress and popped a couple of cute pink pearls in the corner. I have no idea where I got the pearls, they were sitting on the shelf in my craft room, with no name on them, just the clear plastic backing. It's amazing what little treasures I have hidden in there! This card took me no time at all to make, and I love it.
This card is my submission for the following challenges -
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenges - what little girls are made of
The Crafty Pad - glitz and glitter
The Pink Elephant - ribbon and sparkles
Creative Card Crew - sparkle and shine
My Time to Craft - glitter and glitz
Papertake Weekly - sketch
Party Time Tuesdays - pink, brown and white
Tuesday Throwdown - more than one fold
I am heading back to work in the AM for 4 shifts - it has been insane there for the past week, I am not sure how much crafting time I will get, before Sunday, but hopefully some...

Cartridges everywhere - and some challenges...
I am in love with some of the latest releases from ProvoCraft. Rock Princess!! Winter Frolic!! Mini Monsters!! Happy Haunting!!! It is just too much for me. So I have decided, that instead of coveting the new cartridges, it is high time for me to use the cartridges that I have, some of which I have never cut anything from - eek!! Don't tell my husband - Paisley is a cartridge I got for my birthday in April, and have never ever used. That ends today!! Here is my card.
I made an easel card, which I had never made before, and always thought must be really hard. Was I wrong. It is easy. I followed the directions on Splitcoast Stamper. I think I will be making more of these. It was fun! I cut the owl at 3 inches from Paisley, and the flower that is holding up the easel part of the card is the "button" feature for the owl on the Paisley cartridge, cut at 1 inch. The sentiment is from Stampin Up, as is the border punch I used to cut the scallop on the base of the card. The paper is mostly from my scrap bins. I am so excited at how cute he is!
The challenges I am submitting this card to are:
Cricut Cardz Challenge - color challenge, black, blue, orange, yellow and white ONLY.
Crafty Creations - winged things
Charisma Cardz Challenges - easel card
CPS - sketch #180
Corrosive Challenges - faux technique - I used faux stitching
Pear Tree Designs - best wishes sentiment
One Stitch at a Time - use a punch - I used a scallop border punch
I think that is the most challenges I have ever submitted one card for. I had originally planned just to make this card for the color challenge at Cricut Cardz, but while challenge hopping I found so many more, and the card evolved from there. This is so fun!
Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with something new. No idea what, but I'll think of something :)

A wonderful day!!
Sp we spent the day in the Annapolis Valley picking the most delicious blueberries, and then we went to a locla market to get pickling cukes, and peaches. Over the next few days I am going to be making Crunchy Cucumber pickles, Peach Jam, Blueberry Peach jam and Bluebarb jam - blueberries and rhubarb (from my garden). I am also working an extra 8 hour shift tomorrow and worked over-time yesterday and am pre-booked for over-time on Monday. Work has been horrific! I am so glad I have my family and my crafting to escape to :)
Her is today's card:
Obviously, a birthday invitation for the party of a little boy I know. They had a magician. It uses Paper Doll Dress Up, and Sesame Street Font for the "you're invited". I thought it turned out just adorable!
So, the challenges I am submitting this card for are:
Pear Tree Designs - Male card. this is for a little boys birthday, so I figured it qualified :)
If the Shoe Fits - where the challenge was die-cuts, including Cricut...
Hope everyone is enjoying a fabulous weekend :)

Tree - mendous :)
Woo hoo! 4 12 hour shifts done!! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in the last few days, but the past 4 days have been exhausting, and I just didn't have the energy - but I am off for the next few days, and plan to catch up, and get some cards made up :) Here is today's card.
I made this card for my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. I had to make 100 of them, and I wanted it to be reasonably easy to mass produce. This fit the bill. I love this stamp set - Branching Out from Stampin Up. The paper is all from StampinUp and so is the ink. I bought the ribbon from the dollar store. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the light pink paper.
There are a few challenges I am submitting this card for this week:
Our Creative Corner - Embossing
Just Scraps - anything goes
Paper Pretties - use ribbon
Cute Card Thursday - use a tree
Challenge Up Your Life - celebrations
Fab 'n' Funky - use your favorite color (these days it's pink :)
Pixie Dust Studio - pretty in pink
Sweet Stampin Challenge - pretty in pink
Hope you all have had a good week so far - I'll be back tomorrow :) See ya then!

Lots of love...
Busy day at work today. I have so much stuff to do at home. DS is going to a birthday party tomorrow, the card is designed on my gypsy, but not cut out yet. Hopefully in the morning. Tonight I am too tired. So on to the card. I made this cute little card for my DH for our anniversary.
The owls are from Create a Critter. The tag punches are from Stampin Up. I printed the sentiment on my computer. The paper is all Stampin Up.
Shelly's Images has a challenge this week, called : "this place is a zoo". You had to include 2 animals - I just love these cute little owls!
That's it for today. Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

Yummy!!
Another day, another challenge. I am so impressed with how much i have crafted this summer. Now if I could just get back to scrapbooking :) Here is today's card:
It is a bit hard to tell because of the dark background, but this is a shape card. It was hugely inspired by a card that Cristi made last week over at her blog Scrappin 5 Little Cupcakes. I decided to run the cupcakes sideways, rather than vertically, but other than that - pretty much the same...
This card was made with Sweet treats cartridge and my Gypsy to weld it all together and make the card. the paper is mainly StampinUp, and I used My Pink Stamper stamps for the sentiment. I blinged it up a bit with some stickles, and used a cuttlebug folder to Emboss the cupcake icing.
So, this card is being submitted for a couple of challenges:
The Pink Elephant - make something Yummy - what could be better than a good cupcake?
Cricut Cardz Challenge - make a birthday card for a teenager. A bit of a challenge to say the least. You don`t want it to be too kiddish, but still be fun. I hope this qualifies...
Ooh La La Creations - birthday challenge.
My Time to Craft - cake challenge.
Party Time Tuesday - Suumery birthday card - I used bright summery colors.
I will be back again tomorrow with another post - although I am working a 12 hour day tomorrow, so it might be later. I should try to figure out how to get something to post automatically for me. Hmmm... might be too technical :)

A little rain...
It has been pouring in Nova Scotia for the past few days. I can't complain, we have had a lovely summer so far, but the past couple of days have reminded me what a real NS summer is. I found a couple of new challenges on line this week on the Daily Dare. The challenge on Other Lovelies had to be about the weather. The rain seemed, somehow appropriate. Here is what I came up with:
This cute little girl and sentiment are both from MFT's Pure Innocence line. Love her :) She is colored with my Prismacolored pencils, using baby oil - still a new technique for me. The paper is primarily Stampin Up, though some is from my scrap box. I am pleased with how she turned out.
Challenges I am submitting this for:
OWH Stars and Stamps - sketch challenge from Sunday.
Paper Cutz color challenge using red, blue, white, yellow and black.
I will be back tomorrow with another card for yet another challenge. I am so amazed at the crafting I have been geting done :)

Other challenges this card fits in to:
ABC Challenge Blog - A is for August.

Paper Playtime Challenge
I am finally done with my run at work. I have 3 days off and then am back, working 5 12 hour shifts in 6 days. Ugh! Oh well, at least I had some crafting time today :)
There is a weekly challenge at Paper Playtime and this week, the creator of one of my favorite blogs, Alex is their "Queen". I just knew I had to play along with the "Miss You" theme this week. here is what I came up with.
The snail is cut from Create a Critter (love that cartridge!) an the circles are from George and Basic shapes. The paper is all from my scrap boxes except for the patterned paper, which is from my old Creative memories stash and the "miss you" is from My Pink Stamper stamps.
The card fits in with a couple of extra challenges this week - surprise, surprise :)
One Stitch at a Time is having a double challenge this week. Either a sketch challnge, or using pink on your card. I went for both.
Paper Sundaes challenged us to use stitching - either faux or real on our card. i obviously went with faux. Stitching is something I am pretty new at, an in truth not all that comfortable with yet, but it does give cards a lovely finished look.
Little Red Wagon has a challenge to use circles on your card. I almost never use circles, but today, I did - even the snail has a big circle on her back :)
OWH Stars and Stamps challenged us to use some patterned paper from our stash. I ahev a huge stash of paper that I seem to be afraid to use! I love that these challenges are making me use them :)
I have more crafting to do before heaing back to work on Saturday, so be sure to check back tomorrow for another BBQ card.

Another Elmo card :)
Yesterday's prewritten blog post actually worked! When I posted it, it posted with the date and time I had written it, rather than posted it, but that's a small thing on the whole...
So todays little card is one I made for my daughter's friend's birthday. I think it's really cute.
So I used Sesame Street Friends and Lyrical Letters for this card. The paper is mostly from my scrap boxes and Stampin Up. It is avery simple crad, but great for a 4 year old!
I have to work today, but time and a half, cause it's a stat holiday. Tomorrow another 12 hour evening, and then i am on call over night tomorrow. I may not have time to post anything again until wednesday. Hopefully then I could get some challenge cards done.
