Remembrance Day - Exploring Cricut

For my Teddy Bear Parade Blog Hop Day 3 click HERE
For my Paper Playtime Autumn Colors Challenge click HERE

Happy Monday everyone!  It is a busy day here on my blog.  I have 3 posts going live today, so be sure to check them all out!  It is challenge day over at Exploring Cricut.  Today's challenge is to create a Veteran's Day project.  Now, in Canada, we don't have Veteran's Day, but we do have Remembrance Day, so I made a Remembrance Day project.  Here is what I came up with:

I found this project to be a bit of a challenge, I wan't sure which direction to go in, I decided simple was best.  "Lest we Forget" is from Gypsy Font - I did a bit of welding.  The poppy - which is a but lopsided, is 4 hearts from Cricut Craft Room basics welded together on my Gypsy.  The black centre is also from Craft Room Basics.  The paper and ribbons are from Michael's.

I hope you hop over to Exploring Cricut, see what the DT came up with and join us in our challenge this week!

A challenge or two for my card:
Gingerloft - no coloring allowed
One Stitch at a Time - anything goes
Card Makin Mamas - anything goes
Inspire Me Fridays - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - a day to remember
Die Cuttin Divas - anything goes
Make it Monday - anything goes

Umbrella Bear - Teddy Bear Parade Blog Hop

Happy Sunday everyone, I am BEARY happy to see you!  Welcome to the Teddy Bear Parade Blog Hop!!  A bunch of us, fell in love with the Teddy Bear Parade Cricut Cartridge when it was released, and Miss Janis came up with the brilliant idea to have a blog hop with all our fellow teddy bear lovers, so here we are!  It is day two of the Blog Hop, and if you have come from Miss Lucy's blog, then you are in the right spot.  Here is what I came up with:

Don't ya just love this little umbrella bear??  I cut her and all her accessories at 3 1/2 inches. The cardstock and the ribbon is all from Michael's.  I picked up the patterned paper at my LSS, and honestly can't remember who it's from, but I thought it was perfect for this card.  My bling is from Dollorama and the doodling is done with my Sakura Jelly roll pen.  The sentiment is from Flourishes April Shower's set and you can find it HERE

The next stop in the hop is Candice's blog, I know you will just love her cute project!  I have included a list of all the crafters who are playing with us today, just in case you get lost, and don't forget to come back tomorrow, when we'll have a whole new line up of people, sharing some BEARY cute projects :)

Beach Bum - Teddy Bear Parade Blog Hop Day 1

Happy Saturday everyone I am BEARY happy to see you! It is day one of the Blog Hop, and if you have come from the beautiful and talented Mary's blog, then you are in the right spot.  Here is what I came up with:

Isn't he adorable??!!  I cut him and all his accessories at 3 1/2 inches.  The sun is from Doodlecharms and the clouds are from Hello Kitty Greetings.  The cardstock is a big mix of SU, Recollections, Cricut paper, Bazzil - hmm I think that's it ;)  I tore the layers at the bottom - I think they look lots like sand and waves.  I did some doodling around with my Sakura Jelly roll pens, but I just realised that I didn't doodle on the bear - GASP!  I always doodle on my die cuts - I will have to go fix that before I send anyone this card...  The perfect sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps - A Day at the Beach, so many of the sentiments in that set would have been perfect for this card - I had a hard time narrowing it down to just one.  You can buy your set of these stamps HERE

The next stop in the hop is Elaine's blog, and I know you will love the fabulous project she created.  I have included a list of all the crafters who are playing with us today, just in case you get lost, and don't forget to come back tomorrow, when we'll have a whole new line up of people, sharing some BEARY cute projects :)

Here is my project for this challenge:

Isn't it cute?  I made this as a birthday card for my brother in law's girlfriend.  She is a little bit of a shoe lover.  I love the embossing on the shoes - I always forget to use embossing on the die cuts in the card - I seem to only use it as a background.    Isn't the sentiment the perfect touch?  The paper is mostly from recollections, but I think the patterned paper is from Creative Memories.  The ribbon is from my LSS, and I think it is stunning!

Come play with us!
